  1. Yeah I will mate, gotta be an improvement over the tyres I have on atm. Hopefully they will come by the weekend and I can get them fitted on Saturday. Will post some pics :)
  2. Just ordered my new tyres, a mate found them on tyre leader, only cost me 320 quid. It wants to !Removed! snow now!
  3. lol. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/10389-is-it-worth-welding/#entry61069
  4. oh aye, I looked at those mate. Can pick them up for 55 quid each in 215/45/17's, not too bad price wise. Looked at quite a few in this thread of Stants - http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/10525-winter-tyres/ The Nokian A3's have a C rating for economy so I'm thinking that might give me a few extra MPG. Atm I can squeeze about 400-450 miles from a full tank of vpower, a few more miles would be nice lol. No I didnt know that mate, don't suppose you know any that do?
  5. lol, that's bad, see must have been under the influence of alcohol or substances. However, I find it more annoying that he didn't film it in LANDSCAPE!!!!
  6. Anyone else using winter tyres? I'm just pricing some up and sending out a few emails requesting price matches lol. Gonna go for these If anyone is curious. http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?details=Ordern&cart_id=26829416.110.28448&kplz=&Cookie=&ABT=&typ=R-245918&dsco=110
  7. looks really good mate, nice job. Think I'll get myself one :)
  8. Just gave mine a wash, used the good old two bucket method. Nice and clean again now, until tomorrow that is. Could do with a pressure washer to wash off all that winter grime before hand though, but I dont have an outside tap. Also saw the neighbour park up in his naf Nissan qwash quish, only to start checking out my legacy lol.
  9. hey gambit, you still playing dayz? im tempted to get back into it.
  10. thanks for the reply, still not any closer to removing the old ones yet though haha. !Removed! cars eh
  11. Sounds lovely :)
  12. oh sweet mate, seems like the WR A3 did well too. "The Nokian WR A3 winter tyre wins the 2012 winter tyre test by the German car magazine “Auto Bild”, earning the top rating “exemplary”. “Auto Bild” praises the Nokian WR A3: “Strengths: exemplary handling qualities on snowy, wet and dry surfaces, stable directional control and precise steering response, shortest wet and dry braking distances, low fuel consumption”.
  13. so, I've been having a look winter tyres and as I do about 60-65miles per day I thought it would be a good idea to get some winter tyres. After all it is my safety lol. These are all 215 45 17's btw. These Nokian tyres look pretty decent, made in Finland too so i'd expect they are good in the winter weather. http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=26829416.110.28448&sowigan=CW&Breite=215&Quer=45&Felge=17&Speed=&kategorie=6&Marke=&ranzahl=4&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&search_tool=standard&Label=C-C-72-2&details=Ordern&typ=R-245918 Or these Nankang ones, which are a bit cheaper. http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=26829416.110.28448&sowigan=CW&Breite=215&Quer=45&Felge=17&Speed=&kategorie=6&Marke=&ranzahl=4&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&search_tool=standard&Label=E-C-71-2&details=Ordern&typ=R-191294 Or these Hankook ones, I've got two of these on the rears already, but need replacing really. The car did have four, but the previous owner put two !Removed! budgets on the front as he sold it to me. http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=26829416.110.28448&sowigan=CW&Breite=215&Quer=45&Felge=17&Speed=&kategorie=6&Marke=&ranzahl=4&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&search_tool=standard&Label=F-C-72-2&details=Ordern&typ=R-261704 Or these Kumho ones http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=26829416.110.28448&sowigan=CW&Breite=215&Quer=45&Felge=17&Speed=&kategorie=6&Marke=&ranzahl=4&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&search_tool=standard&Label=C-E-74-3&details=Ordern&typ=R-156569 falkens http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=26829416.110.28448&sowigan=CW&Breite=215&Quer=45&Felge=17&Speed=&kategorie=6&Marke=&ranzahl=4&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&search_tool=standard&Label=F-C-72-2&details=Ordern&typ=R-246899
  14. My first car was a Fiat Uno.... Never again will i ever drive or own a Fiat.... It really was fix it again tomorrow. Got it when i was 17 at college and having just passed my test my dodgy car mechanic/salesman uncle got me the fiat for 700 quid. lol it was terribly unreliable. It was shameful tbh.
  15. What a !Removed! ****. Please excuse my french lol. Had some knob cut me up as I will pulling onto the A1 North today... Just as I was about to pull in behind him, he decided to hit the brakes... Some drivers just have no awareness of their surroundings.
  16. I looked at getting winter tyres, but I'm not sure, decent ones aint cheap and we might end up with another warm winter.
  17. So, when i had my spoiler put on, the guy (who did it for free) didn't fit the stronger boot springs that came with it. Ever since I've been having intermitant problems opening the boot. I have to lift this annoying little lever in the front of the cabin to open the boot, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. So, the time as has eventually come to install the stronger boot springs. But, I don't have the instructions anymore... lol so does anyone have any idea how to do it? or know of a guide somewhere? edit, a google suggests they are called torsion bars, not boot springs. thanks tom
  18. !Removed! hate cyclists, bunch of arrogant fuckers. Don't see very many in the North, but in the Peak District near my folks, jesus wept they are !Removed! everywhere.
  19. lol haha, I see loads of fog light wankers every single day. Also loads of knobs on the A1 south (of Durham) sat in the right hand lane doing 60/65 when the left hand lane is empty.... oh what about the knobbers that block you from merging into a lane (say where two lanes go into one) or when you pulling onto a motorway/dual cartridge way, some knob doesn't bother his !Removed! to move from the left hand lane into empty right hand lane, forcing you to slow down and pull in behind him.
  20. its very suspect lol. Tempted to ask for more info about it being an "STI" lol just noticed the sti badge on the front grille too. haha wtf
  21. lol, Is it just me or has this seller just stuck a few STi stickers on his 3.0Spec B? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Legacy-Saloon-07-Spec-B-Auto-STI-Full-Doc-Service-History-VGC-for-age-/261662067391?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3cec464abf Something doesnt add up to me...

lol hahah, you'd think he'd stop when he hit the lampost.. .but no...
  23. Martin from Sheffield Subaru Service previously advised me to avoid EBC discs and pads. CAn't recall the exact reason, but its enough of a reason for me to avoid them. I went with Pagid discs and pads, they are pretty good OEM stuff, no complaints. Bite really nicely too. Although, Martin did put some braided lines on for me, so that might have something to do with it. :)
  24. Another full tank of vpower for me. Managed to get it for 129.9 though, so its not too bad. Going through a full tank a week at the moment, 60mile daily commute, least its fun in the Subaru :)
  25. That is so beautiful! I'm very very jealous. Out of interest, whats the MPG like?
