yeah shes fuming, as you would be. Its just fortunate that her uncle can do it properly for us. The mechanic has agreed to pay the costs for the repair and added that he's "honestly got no idea how it got damaged, it must have been when it was sat on my drive" aye yea alright mate, considering its been reversed into a wall.

New Legacy and Outback Development Movie. Liking the look of the both the outback and legacy :)

Thanks ash, Yeah I'm very picky too, that's why I like going SSS. As for the meet on the 11th, I'll have to see mate, as I've got an essay due that day and I'm like 100 miles away. So it would be a bit of drive. We spoke to her uncle who runs a body repair garage, he had a look and said its been reversed into a wall or something rough. Had another car hit it, there would have been paint transfer from the other car. So he's gonna repair it properly. Just gotta get the mechanic to pay for it now.

thanks bud, I've got a free tub of paint that was mixed by the guy that repaired my legacy, he also painted and fitted my spoiler and grille. As you are in Co Durham, if you ever need body repairs doing give me a bell and I'll pass you on his details.

So !Removed!, the missus needed a new rear spring on her 1.6 astra. So instead of taking it to the usual place up the road and paying about 70 for it. She had her dads friends partner do it for a bit cheaper. So against my advice she dropped the car off at his house the night before, Luckily, I made sure the missus wrote down the millage. He then took it to his garage changed the spring, drove it back today and dropped it off, was only 45 quid sounds pretty cheap. Not a bad deal we thought. The missus is a little particular over her pride and joy (as we all are here) so she had a good look around it. Turns out he's done 120miles in it! According to google, its 12.9 from the centre of where we live to the centre of Sunderland (where the garage is) so call it 30miles there and back, maybe add a few miles in for grace. So I can only assume that he's been for a right jolly in it. and there is also a long scrape of chips horizontal along the rear bumper protector. As you can imagine we are both livid. We know for a fact it wasn't there before and with the amount of miles hes added on shows his complete lack of regard and respect for a customers car. She called him up and argued that the damage wasn't there before and he's agreed to take the car on Thursday night and get it sorted and he has agreed to pay. I notice how he didn't even argue against the damage. Not a happy bunny to say the least. But it goes to show, you get what you pay for, had she paid the extra few quid and went to the usual place this wouldn't have happened.

looking good mate, could do with doing that to my dads field...

Don't suppose you've got the link to them mate? I've love a set for my legacy if they did any. ta ;)

+1 Shell / Vpower / tesco fuels. As for tyres what about black circles?
-
:( The missus isnt coming anymore, she's not happy with paying the extra for it and my mate jack'd me out to go to vfest... I'll be all on my tod :'(
-
So the ticket we have, is only for our car and the driver? I'm pretty certain it did say on their japfest 2 website it was 15.50 for the car and 4 people.

I got a reply from them. "Thank you for your correspondence to the Shell Drivers’ Club. I can confirm that 800 Shell Drivers’ Club points have been re-credited to your account for the undelivered June 2014 statement with £4.00 worth of Money off Fuel vouchers since we are unable to re-order the vouchers manually less than £10.00. Please allow 5 days for these points to be updated on the web site. I am pleased to confirm that your points balance, as of 29/07/2014 is 2146 Drivers’ Club points." So erm... anyone think Shell will convert those 2000 points into a 20 quid off voucher? or will they not bother to send the next lot of vouchers either...
-
So it looks like those with passengers will need extra tickets? !Removed!. Anyone got the number for trading standards? lol
-
yeah that would be best for me too. (and I presume the rest of the northerners). I got my ticket today yay! What does the big number 5 on the ticket mean btw?

ooohhh exciting... Erm, during the meetup before the show if there are other clubs nearby, would it be a good idea to pop out a few SOC signs in front of the cars? I can Imagine myself parking up next to the wrong club or something.

Hi, Does anyone else have this issue? Since having the scoob (mid-late FEB) I've been collecting points, had well over 2000k. Vouchers are supposed to be sent every quarter along with a quarterly statement. Shell are flipping useless and aint sent any vouchers whatsoever. Despite telling me a few months back that they are sending them out in June. But no, no vouchers arrived (they removed a load of my points though). So I've been on to them again, apparently they did send them in June. Yet nothing has come and they have said it will take them 28 days to investigate and decide whether or not they are going to reissue the vouchers. Shell, that is not how you look after your customers. Especially ones that are happy to buy a full tank of your premium fuel on a regular basis. Jesus christ, Rant over.

Exhaust Question and Quote?
tom_gr7 replied to tom_gr7's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
David was your quote from a place in middlesbrough? Tony banks in leeds does longlife exhausts, but he did my mates exhaust on his old 207 gti it ended up far too loud and the fitter left some nuts and bolts loose in the engine bay, which ended up destroying his whole radiator. So avoid him lol. Thanks for the reply jay, would i see much difference between the standard cat abd a sports cat? One reason i fancy a new cat is because the cars done 91k and if i went for a cat back system im in a sense only replacing half the exhaust. -
Id like to do somthing like this too. Looks pretty awseom though, im not half bad with electrics do shouldnt be too dificult once funds allow ofc.
-
So, in the future i'm planning to get a new exhaust, want something that gives the car a bit of sporty sound and maybe a burble if possible. But nothing over the top noisy. As Saloon Legacies are relatively rare, I can't find parts online and if i could i'd expect they'd have to be imported and probably cost the earth. So i looked at getting a custom one made. I looked a powerflow and decided that i'd avoid them due to negative reviews. But Found a place nearby that does "longlife" exhausts. Anyone have any experience of this? i emailed him for some quotes. For a twin exit cat back system he offered £560 but reduced to £504 For a twin exit and sports cat system he offered £995 but offered it for £895! For a twin exit with a decat system he offered £785 but reduced to 735. - also said "Its a decat which can be removed for MOT purposes." On one hand I'd like a decat, but i can imagine it being a chew at MOT time and in case i got pulled over and was emission tested by the feds/VOSA. So I'm not sure about the decat. Any advice would be appreciated. tom
