  1. I use my fogs is really wet weather because they light up the puddles really well, is that wrong? :(. Usually only on country lane driving though. Not long now until I break up for Christmas, looking forward to it! Bit of gaming and hopefully some mountain biking in snow :P. Will wash the Subaru and keep her on my drive as much as possible so she stays clean. Also pray for lots of snow to play in ;)
  2. That's very true, the roads would last so much longer as well if we didn't salt the roads! Annoying really :(. Boost sneaked up on me today when pulling out of a junction, got me a little sideways and put a smile on my face :P. Oh and Dog... your car is dirty!
  3. Looking forward to some pics
  4. I don't even have the fun of ice :(. Just slightly wet round me, hasn't been cold enough
  5. The worst is when you book time off and you become ill :( complete waste! haha. I'm enjoying having the Subaru back :)
  6. Sounds like a drive train problem, perhaps gearbox?
  7. Just remember to take the mice at least a mile away or they will find their way back home ;) Sounds like he was out car hunting, think we need a cv radio in all our subarus so when something like this happens we can call everyone in. Imagine him being chased down by a gang of subarus ;). Glad you have sorted your knock!
  8. I'm on homehub 3 as well, it's a joke lol. I really want this game, will see how the month pans out money wise. Should be able to get it. Loving the t-shirts!
  9. Good news! Had a slight downpipe leak sorted, whacked a gasket in. Just been on a spirited drive and it boosts nicely! Swear it's quicker than before. Glad to be back on the road at full performance :). Considering a remap though to make sure it's running in sync. It's cold here but no sign of snow, right on the coast though so probably wont get any :(. There is snow in the hills though, might venture out tomorrow night and test out the awd system :P
  10. I agree... it's very cold!!!
  11. Can it also cause it to overboost when it finally kicks in? Hits 1.1 bar then settles down to 0.9 bar after a couple of seconds. Once boost is established it will hit 0.9 bar no problem, doesn't go over. It is the same turbo but they bored out the wastegate and fitted a better unpellar because the last wall was damaged. The up pipe is de cat.
  12. Good work! Can't wait to hunt cars again :) Got the bill for the Subaru this weekend.. 3 seperate bills, als the supplied parts are some rear suspension at £85 and Subaru gaskets at £35. Nice big chunk of money! Problem is, the Subaru overboosts or doesn't boost until after 4k rpm. Can't figure out why :(
  13. Weird isn't it, may come on in a few days now everything is running properly
  14. That place looks like a play ground *drool*
  15. I would go back with that, easy for them to sort :). Should have done it right in the first place really
  16. Have a safe journey home Dog :)
  17. Bus with a 6ltr boxer engine in it? Might use a bit of fuel though
  18. Right I've been having trouble with my exhaust blowing in 3 places... Lower up pipe - This had a new gasket but it doesn't seal it. What's the best move? 2 gaskets? Down pipe to turbo - This wasn't replaced so got a new one on the way tomorrow :) Lower down pipe - This wasn't replaced but now can't get one through suppliers, apparently it should be a bell housing (overlap) connection? Mine isn't, it goes together like other sections of exhaust (face to face). Apparently this isn't right? Had to search ebay and found the gasket I need.
  19. Answer is NO, de-catting the up-pipe on a new age (bug eye) DOESN'T bring up the CEL! Happy days :)
  20. Hopefully... either that or everything thinks the same as you and the roads still end up busy ;).
  21. Everyone likes a happy ending ;). Wonder how the long the snail had been there... probably the fastest it has been in it's life!
  22. Good news, he's sorted it :). Running much better now!
  23. The plugs have been in for a year, I took the car is because it had a bad misfire. We found 2 of the coil packs were knackered so replaced them. (Also had turbo refurbished and a new up pipe put on). Car was running lovely after it but turbo had to be run in, after doing the run in period we give a bit and a misfire started again and plugs were going to be replaced tonight... car gave it up last night so didn't make it. I would say the misfiring cylinder built up too much pressure?
  24. Definitely spark plug, left it with my brother in law last night. Got a message before which consisted of these words exactly... "Coil pack smashed and plug fu**ed. Threads in head damaged... oh s**t" So not sounding good :(. Not 100% how serious that is?
