  1. Might go for group N all round then :).Notice any difference to vibration?
  2. I've been noticing a lot of slack in my drivetrain lately, say if I get my revs up in 2nd then lift off instead of just slowing down it feels like the car is on an elastic band. Best way to describe it really :). Just wondering what to check, such as the pitch stop being worn?
  3. I bet you could fit one either side of that step :)
  4. That's true, my normal driving was getting me 260 - 280 a tank. I'm driving a little different, shifting sooner is the main one and i'm hitting 280+. Not quite managed 300 mainly because I haven't wanted to get too far from a fuel station haha. On another note yes with a panel filter and different exhaust you should see better mpg but as to how much better it's anyones guess.
  5. Just been pottering around conserving fuel, I did however witness an awesome drag race! It was between a KA and a Corsa lol. KA wiped the floor with the Corsa and he wasn't happy.... lots of abuse being shouted. Also felt like a rally driver last night, dense fog and dark country roads :D.
  6. Making a banner for EcuTek, it has the Subaru Mark Higgins drove around the TT course. I will put it up and take a picture when it's done :). EDIT: Done the banners now... here is a picture of them both (not a good pic) and a close up of the more interesting one :).#
  7. If you have low boost pressure it won't be able to make the proper noise i wouldn't think.
  8. you could after you do the buttertubs, come back over it to Hawes and head down towards ingleton. You can stop at Ribblehead viaduct for pictures and there is also a pub there.
  9. I will keep an eye on this one :). When I know the areas you are thinking I will be able to tell you if I can join
  10. Set off from the lights yesterday and burnt my clutch... seems it's nearing the end of its life. Good timing I guess seeing as the gearbox needs doing.
  11. Looks like he was unsure what to do after that other car stole his parking space lol. I find the loud peddle makes your day better as well
  12. Wouldn't think the gearbox would stop the car from starting though would it? Sorry to hear about it, hope it's not an expensive problem.
  13. Big mark or just a small one? I had my bumper resprayed and then this scuff appeared a couple of days later, I know it was someone at work but couldn't be bothered with the hassle.
  14. What's your time scale on that Dog? What annoys me sometimes is when you do loads of traveling just to do something for 30 minutes lol.
  15. Always find something to tinker with don't you savage lol. I was driving about on Saturday evening and encountered 3 Golfs (separate events) and they all caused me hassle by pushing me along. You just can't seem to have a relaxing drive when you want one lol.
  16. Woman pulled out on me... she apologized so it's all good :). It's not just me with the near misses either...
  17. Congrats mate. Also you were very close to me ;). I've just been out to get fuel, been stuck in bed all day with flu so I needed a blast in the Scoob to feel better. Clear roads made it awesome but some woman pulled out infront of my on a rounabout... close but the brakes on the Scoob are awesome :).
  18. I didn't no, my brother has a place that can do the refurbish and he does the labor (at mates rates). The day is looming ever closer!
  19. Okay that doesn't sound so bad! Although I think it's more my diff than box if that makes a difference.
  20. How much did the gearbox rebuild set you back? I really need my box doing just dreading it...
  21. Too close for comfort!
  22. I would say rear diff as well, hard to tell without actually hearing it but if you have been doing a long drive it's chance something has given up the ghost.
  23. Hate close calls that have nothing to do with how you are driving, like the lorry today I could have avoided if I'd gone a little slower round the corner but pretty sure it was barely 30mph so now bad. Dashcams are well worth it, although I've not had much happen since I got one. Oh and I didn't know pugs could drive ;)
  24. I'm the same Gambit, villages and towns I follow the limit. Often get overtaken but hopefully one of these days I can do an "Instant Karma" video when someone gets pulled by the cops for doing it lol. I've not done anything with the Subaru except drive it, had a couple of close calls the past few days. One is worth putting up and will do it tonight, another lorry. I had a bad taste in my mouth after because it was too close for comfort!
  25. All good things about waterless. there is no reason why you shouldn't do it. It's expensive(ish) to do but you wont be spending any extra money on coolant so worth it.
