  1. Great pics :) I watched a bit of the WRC the other night and it was sooo boring compared to the Scoobie/Evo period...I'm sure I spotted my mum in her Honda Jazz at one point....wtf
  2. Have you tried PistonHeads? When I was looking for mine I talked to a number of sellers who had no luck for weeks/months then sold it within a few days of putting it on PH. Just a thought :)
  3. It looks incredible. That's one part of the engine bay I look at on mine and think it looks crud
  4. I'm being a spud...really nice shiny bits just can't work out what I'm looking at [emoji12] I am looking on my phone so that'll be my excuse ;) Is the shiny first pic your intercooler..can't think how you could take a pic of your rad at that angle :D ? If it is intercooler is that the standard part and if it is how did you get it that shiny?
  5. If that's the case I'd twist his arm to have a look anyway :)
  6. Not sure where you are mate but I can't recommend Dan at Surrey Subaru Specialists enough. I'm sure peeps can recommend a closer specialist if that's no good ;)
  7. Well why don't you try a few tanks of VPower and if you don't notice a difference take it to a specialist :)
  8. I'm getting around 200 for 30ltrs in my 2004 WRX
  9. Same here. I am logging all my petrol and mileage at the moment. I noticed a drop in MPG when I had to get low quality super at BP then Esso! So I'd have thought standard unleaded would be even worse. The Mpg jumped up again on my second tank of VPower.
  10. Yea, I think perhaps Joe public need a kick up the back side. I kept telling my mum not to send me emails with links and attachments and to be careful. She got a mail clicked through and typed in her email password....and they took control of her email account. She told me the next day and I panicked her more by telling her change her bank password and any other one she used the email account for. :) It took her about a month of fluffing around to get control of the email account back. So I think she's learnt her lesson now
  11. Lol to the midget !Removed! :) Bit of an odd one this...they're announcing it like a game launch. If I had spent a while building a virus then it was announced on the news I'd launch it right away...I wouldn't say 'UK launch date is in two weeks and they're going to jolly well wait for it'
  12. After reading this thread and also looking at a few threads on other forums that were discussing accidents that wrote off their car due to people pulling out on them I decided to invest. If some numb nut writes off my pride and joy the last thing I want is a long drawn out discussion on who's fault it was or even whether the other car was actually there! I bought a tiny little 1080p Möbius for £65 (size of a match box) which includes suction cup cables etc. have to say its great quality video and it has a rechargeable battery so I can take it out of the car and use it for other stuff.
  13. Not heard of it before but certainly deserves more investigation. It would worry me having some guy unfamiliar with Subarus messing around with something as important as my engine.
  14. Very nice :) My father 74 has a Californian Mini Moke :D
  15. Welcome mate. What's the 'access to a RX8' all about, shared track car? :D
  16. I'm with you on that on Gambit. Right handed. Anyone catch the reg? Don't want to end up buying after he's had it. P.s I've got oven gloves just like that. I'm going to wear the tomorrow down to Sainsburys and pretend I'm a racing car driver :D
  17. Copilot on IPhone is exceptional. Best Satnav I've used. Cost me £18 for the app and about £9 for phone holder and USB cable
  18. Looks a good price for the mileage. I'd suggest test driving another so you can get the feel and have something to compare. Is there a garage with a more expensive newer lower mileage one for sale you can try out?
  19. Yes, I agree. Although they do have a nice easy tip of using a bin liner cut down one side then fed through to cover up the discs and callipers. I like this effect. They use a base coat of black then metallic silver over the top. Very similar to the colour I had in mind :)
  20. Looks like my cars previous owner has tried to repaint the wheels while still on the car - I say that as it doesn't look like he has rotated them and so missed bits. I have a silver blob and I actually think the wheels look nicer when they have a bit of brake dust on them and are a bit darker. Not black but dark grey. Money has been slipping through my fingers at a crazy speed recently and I don't have the money for a new set of wheels. I did stumble upon the plasti dip metallic YouTube vids and thought that might be just the ticket. Has anyone tried this and what were the results? Go got the impression you can get a great finish if you have the knack.
  21. No in not keen on the Hawks either. As long as you're happy with it that's all that counts mate :) I have spent £1k on mine since buying it on 4 new tyres, new discs and pads on the front and new cambelt and PS belt and A specialist giving it a thorough looking over :) I'm doing 100 miles a day so need it to be working and hassle free.
  22. Yea lol. I thought this was a different model when you said install on the top dash, doh! Is a great piece of kit though and I know they're not making them anymore so it's quite a find for someone.
  23. I'm on my phone so can't make out your car but I'm guessing STI for that price or newish Hawk. I got a 10 year old Blob with 58k miles and very good history for £4.3k. I did look at a few £6.5k cars with similar mileage at dealers but thought I'd rather have £2k in my pocket - almost rebuild the engine for that :D
