  1. Thanks, that sounds good. I've not really played around with the heat shield before...is it just washers or a gasket that wears and needs replacing or packing out?
  2. Something on my car has started rattling. Wonder if it's that. How did you work out it was the heat shield?
  3. Yea and that's why it's crud :d and why I ordered the other stuff and a Nilfish [emoji106]
  4. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll try that next time. I'll find a smaller quality though I think :D I bought some devil snow foam on a whim in Halfrauds...first foam I've tried and its rubbish.... Crud pressure washer site aren't delivering what I've already paid for...even after verbally saying they were going to deliver it yesterday...so hand wash today
  5. Just to add some balance ;) I don't like leather seats...cold in winter, hot in summer (damp groin, nice) and makes my suit trousers shiny. Big no for me.
  6. Reviving an old thread. I'm doing 100 miles a day around the m25 at the moment. I actually had a audi driver hold back and drive sensibly on Thursday. I couldn't believe it. First one not to drive right up my chuff. Driving like a nobber doesn't seem to be limited to the faster models either. Diesel, 1.8L doesn't matter. Perhaps theres something wrong with the windscreen...perhaps too concave giving the impression the car in front is 100 ft away when it's only a ft away?
  7. Very nice STI there mate. I like the effect on the first picture...thats some mirroring there! problem with these scooby sites is every time I go on them I see another car I want lol. I was looking at a P1 on Autotrader yesterday...wtf.
  8. Yesterday I ordered these... Decided to bite the bullet and buy myself a Power washer. Not owned one before but played around with a friends. I do like any type of power tool :D Also got some of this that came highly recommended from some nerdy detailing site :D : Avalanche Snow Foam Crazy expensive but thought I'd give it a go especially with my new power washer :) Both should be arriving today....so be giving them a go today or tomorrow weather permitting.
  9. I got the same...I thought it was the cap leaking on mine
  10. Have you been caught and let off then? Can you give us some tips?
  11. Cancelled my Scoobynet and given my money to you guys instead [emoji16]
  12. Mate don't make me feel worse.than I already feel [emoji16][emoji592]
  13. Can u have a word with my wifie and daughter? They're taking the pee out of me so much I've slowed to washing every fortnight [emoji53]
  14. If truth be told I really do prefer you blue mate [emoji16]
  15. Hello JGM have followed your build thread on another forum...can't remember where but thoroughly enjoyable read. Have a standard WRX and seriously fancy a few tweaks and a remap [emoji16]
  16. Oh doh. Welcome mate, looks a lovely motor in the colour I wanted...I try and console myself by telling myself it's oh so common lol....(but only common on the scoobie forums [emoji16] )
  17. I had the standard two pea shooter exhaust. I went for a second hand WR Sport back box (oval version of the Prodrive for standard WRXs) which was a optional extra new. At first I thought it was too loud but I love it. It brings out a beautiful burble but isn't uncomfortable on my 100mile daily trip on the M25 and the 600 mile round trip to the outlaws upt-north. I've had two people come up to me and tell me they love the sound of it [emoji2] Quite often I'm out of the house at 6:15 to go to the gym and the neighbours haven't complained yet [emoji4]
  18. Did you notice a different in performance Dave?
  19. Sorry being dim...what benefits would you expect to see from doing that?
  20. What pump would you guys buy now? Are some better at protecting the engine if/when they fail?
  21. Take out the air fresheners to lose weight [emoji39] Has it been de tangoed? Bit of detailing?
  22. Does depend on what list they are using but I've not seen a list with PPP specifically stated. There is no STI PPP model. There are two models with different bhp...so if you're telling them you have PPP fitted theyll probably see that as a mod.
  23. Agree...but looks the best when clean
  24. X 2 I'm managing the design and build of an insurance website at the moment. The car list supplied by Thatcham has the PPP listed as standard cars. As an example the WRX in 2004 has.... WRX (221) WRX (261) - this being the PPP, I can't remember the exact bhp figure but you get the idea. The STIs are listed separately. All have their own ABIs, I'll check the insurance groups for them tomorrow, pretty sure the PPP is same as standard.
