  1. nooooo! i've been waiting patiently for the pics :(
  2. probably a noob statement but have you looked on ebay or gumtree those may have what your looking for and if not then you can at least post a want add on gumtree and people might approach you with a sale but obviously be careful as there will probably idiots out there who will try and offer to buy the car from you as there's always some no matter where you go lol
  3. that car's in better condition than some of my cars when i've finished with them
  4. yeah they never really used to last me long till i got my 306 1.9 TD (diesel pugs are bullet proof apparently) i however didn't kill the engine as such just the ENTIRE electrical system the alternator was on the way out and it melted the main loom but before that i'd had it 18 months then i had a 1.4 civic 5Dr it lasted around 15-16 months until i part exchanged it for the scooby and now i shall keep it for MANY MANY years to come!
  5. i used to rotate my tyres but not bothered on my last few cars (14 cars in 5 years *cough*)
  6. I was thinking 16's anyways tbh don't want too big
  7. i'm thinking the multi spoke subaru standard's in gold (imo has to be gold on a scooby) something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-STI-ALLOY-WHEELS-17-Inch/111324956599?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222006%26algo%3DSIC.FITP%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140107083358%26meid%3D6315802768505210728%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D20140107083358%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D140976415950
  8. as promised a few pics of my scooby after having been washed excuse the wheel trims will be picking up some alloy's as soon as i have the funds available (not for a while though :()
  9. ouch! i bet that was annoying :(
  10. hi welcome to the site mate nice looking motor you've got there hope to see more some time ;)
  11. Glad that it may've been found even part stripped n painted IMO it's better to get some of the car than none of it. Hopefully there's hope for it yet
  12. if they're saying that the car's only worth £190 (might be missing the point totally) then i'd just do like other's have said and just buy it back from them fix it up and retest and vic test it then put it back on the road
  13. oh crap! is it really that difficult to remove the side light? i've got a blown bulb/faulty connection n hadn't got round to sorting it yet
  14. after having done some more research the "FWD" fuse changes it from AWD to FWD so i'll have to top up the rear diff and try disconnecting the fuse again and see if it'll settle down and stop making the noises if not then it'll be a case of replacing the rear diff :(
  15. after taking the scoob round to a mechanic mate (who loves subaru's and own's a fair few of them) he took it out for a spin to see if he could work out what what going on n he said it sounded like "diff lock" so we had a look under the car then he checked the "FWD" fuse in the engine bay and it was missing so we replaced it with a spare from the fuse box (in the bay) and fingers crossed it seems to have sorted it out no more clunks clicks or knocks when turning or reversing :D will still be giving the diff a top up since it can't hurt thanks all for all the advice given. now all i need to do is wash her and get some snaps then i'll post them up here ;)
  16. took scoob out for an "airing" loving it even for an auto i can easily hit 70mph ;) *cough*100mph before i even know what's going on. what channel is fast and loud on i sometimes watch wheeler dealers (my 10y/o son loves it) but hoping that fast n loud will replace that ;)
  17. looks good mate but makes me glad i got a classic lol don't think i'd have the patience to do that myself (i get quite particular when it comes to stickers)
  18. lol sounds like fun i've already got latex examination gloves so ill use those so i don't look a complete tit on my driveway lol
  19. that made perfect sense stanton thanks alot i was only asking as i didn't want to start taking things apart only to find that i didn't need to i could see the fill/drain holes in the rear end of the diff but couldn't think how to pour the oil in lol would this be good enough? http://www.screwfix.com/p/hilka-oil-suction-gun-500cc/12527?kpid=12527&cm_mmc=Google-_-Product%20Listing%20Ads-_-Sales%20Tracking-_-sales%20tracking%20url&gclid=CPXt2LzZ570CFRCWtAodlzkAjQ
  20. Do I have to tak diff off to be able to fill it as I don't have a pump to get the pressure
  21. hey dude.....this is his mate speaking.....its sounds like the diff is slipping, but we found out today that the car had been stood for a min of 6 months....we will be checking all the fluids today anyway so i....we lol will let you know what we find....what fluids do we need for the diff if it does need changing?
  22. It's all the time no matter how warm it is I drove 20miles yesterday n when I reversed it still made a "clunking" kind of feeling
  23. unlucky mate i hope it's recovered soon nice looking motor
  24. hi all finally got to take the scoob out yesterday n after i had been into sainsbury i was reversing out of the parking bay and there was a kind of knocking noise/feeling coming from the rear of the car i'm guessing that it's either one or more of the shafts or the diff. my question here is has anyone else had this problem and could it just a simple problem of the diff needing toppping up i don't really want to go spending loads of money an a whim so thought i'd come here first ;) thanks all in advance hope to get it sorted ASAP.
  25. 4758nigel replied to quit's topic in Car Shows
i'm gonna see if i can talk the Mrs into us going to the sept meet but it will probably not until the Saturday would the £30 ticket be per person or per car? also is the site for tents included in the price or is it extra? also any chance of a price for a day ticket rather than staying overnight? sorry for the seemingly dumb questions but i haven't really been to any car shows of any kind.
