  1. And 3 years later he returns once again😃 I went to look at a 66 plate OB in Keighley but after traveling 20 miles the dealer said it was in his lockup in Newcastle. In the end I went for a 2015 (Euro 6) Audi A6 allroad, 3.0 V6 which I`ve had nearly 3 years. But shortly will be trading it in for hopefully my 5th Outback. The allroad is a beast of a car which I`ve had mapped at around 300 bhp, is very well made and has lots of nice toys☺️ but at 174`000 miles it now needs a flywheel and a few other quite expensive jobs doing so I`m gonna get these done (If I can find someone who will do it, easier said than done!) and move it on, I should get a decent price for a sought after motor. Now then.........since I`ve had the experience of both Audi and Subaru AWD systems I can tell you that Subaru is miles better, the Audi isn't even in the same league. Still preferring diesel.
  2. Cheers for that B. I have an XC60 and it`s brilliant, done 170`000 and still wants more, and I would have another, later one but from 2014 they`re probably just out of my price range. Electric will never take over, all electric is the new Betamax! Eggs in one basket I think is the phrase. Besides, there`s a way to cleaner diesel if the people in charge of this stupid green crap would allow it. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/diesel-saving-technology-could-make-it-market-two-years
  3. Anyone know any gen on the 3.6R petrol? There`s one for sale near me.
  4. I was looking at a high mileage, 100K plus so perhaps the problems would be in the past? Petrol OBs are far to thirsty, why we didn`t get the turbo version like other countries I don`t know.
  5. Hi guy`s. Not been here for a few years (4 & a half) after turning to the dark side and buying a Volvo, reason being I was doing a lot more mileage and wanted to go back to diesel and couldn`t quite trust the flat 4 |Subaru diesel as it was relatively new. I`m now in the position of buying my 5th Outback, looking for around a 2012-14 ish hi-spec model. With the diesel being a lot more reliable nowadays I wanted a few tips, dos/don`ts etc. I may still go for the petrol, undecided as yet. The last one was an 05 3.0 RN.
  6. Very nice!
  7. Sorry mate it`s long gone, A bloke came all the way from London by train to collect it for my full asking price. I do recommenced the 3 ltr over the 2.5, it`s a class above! I`m now a Volvo XC60 owner but keep it to yourself.
  8. Good one! That's the last disc made for that system. Later mods have a memory card. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  9. Sounds about right.....and they are a beast of a thing.
  10. Listing it for ebay tonight!
  11. I updated mine to HID headlights and mega-bright LED main beam and they are stupendous. The price has dropped for the HID kits, under £40. Make sure you get the correct one. If you want i`ll post the ebay link to the same bloke I got them from.
  12. On the Subaru system the resonator, which is in the centre, does most of the work. On mine, the Y-pipe Had rotted through so the 2 back boxes.....which are like dustbins, were doing nothing at all. But there was really no discernible difference in noise, just a slight change in exhaust note. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  13. I got it done at Mr Tyre in Farnworth. They are part of LongLife exhaust franchise. Excellent system. From inside the car it sounds very quiet. I told them I didn't want it any louder than the stock system. https://www.longlife.co.uk/stainless-steel-exhausts?gclid=Cj0KCQjwpMLOBRC9ARIsAPiGeZDN8MeMIF7pnQnCwDmoVBETeizB_mpnSAcr-1ZdKsuUHTALouzwepsaAk8NEALw_wcB Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  14. There`s no "Edit" button. Also has Parrot blutooth, HID Xenon/LED headlights, auto climate control, tyres are all quite recent and no doubt other stuff i`ve failed to mention. Any questions just ask.
  15. Top of the range with all the toys, touch screen sat nav, electric front seats, heated seats all electrics work. 105`000 miles, recent new cat back stainless steel exhaust system, recent new drilled & grooved front disks/pads & calipers, alloys professionally refurbed earlier this year in gunmetal grey. 12 months test, just flown though. She`s been really well looked after all her life and wanted for nothing. Engine is as smooth and as tight as when it was new. Including Thule locking roof bars which were £160.00. Private plate not included. Looking for £2`650.00 ono. Email me at: claretsfan at gmail.com
  16. I have my 2005 Outback 3.0 RN for sale pretty soon. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  17. Up to what year, do we know?
  18. I know there can be a major problem with the heater plugs seizing in the heads on the earlier models but that`s all I know.
  19. Hi Dave, hope your well. Newer, from when?
  20. Thinking of trading the 3.0 RN Outback for a diesel, it`s just getting ridiculous how much petrol i`m using nowadays, I still love my wagon and still get the same buzz driving it. she`s 12 years old now so about time for an upgrade but how does everyone rate their diesel? ......good and bad? Probably will go for a 2010 or newer Outback. Tia.
  21. Wifes.....not wider. Stupid predictive text. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  22. Strangely mine has the added option of miles/kph but the wider which is exactly the same is just kph. Very handy though if you think you've been zapped by the scamera "Partnership" Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  23. Ambarella! Same as I have in mine & the wifes cars. does yours have the option to log the speed as well?
  24. Never ignore private company parking tickets! You could end up with a CCJ that you didn`t even know you had and the ba$tards have 6 years to chase you. This is THE place to go for any and all info: https://www.facebook.com/groups/fightyourprivateparkinginvoice/?ref=group_header
  25. Washed her for the 1st time in 3 weeks
