Afterburner raptor angled exit (newage)
After a afterburner raptor angled exit rear box for my bugeye wagon. If anyone is looking to sell / upgrade their system I'd be keen to hear from you. Also would like one with the extra bits if poss, bung (young kids and long journeys) and the adaptor to 2.5". If anyone has one I'm keen to hear. Thanks

What oil do you suggest?
Ah. Not good mate. Don't want to go into it on here really but yes the car wasn't as advertised and had some serious issues that shouldn't have been left S they were. Either way, it's moved on as have I and I now have something much better and to my liking. Hope you get things sorted with yours mate.

What oil do you suggest?
That's cool. Thanks mate. The old blue one, unfortunately I did yes. Wouldn't buy another one from him again. No this is for my new wagon which I now have, just want to keep all as nice as I can with this.

What oil do you suggest?
In fairness I've just gone through more of the invoices and the previous 5 have the same make but are as you say 5w-40 so little confused why went to a 5w-30 on the last one. Yeah may well give them a call tomorrow to see what's the best option. Just thought id ask to see what others are using too as have never used Silkolene myself in the past on other cars so a new one for me.

What oil do you suggest?
Looking to change the oil in the scooby over the next week or so when I get a Saturday off at work and was just wondering what are people's suggestions to put in her? 52 plate wrx with various additions and running a healthy 315hp and is running a vf35 if it makes any difference to best result. Invoice for last oil previous owner put in was for Silkolene PRO S 5w-30 Ester synthetic high perf oil from Opieoils. Should I go the same stuff again or are there other options people would suggest? Appreciate any help or advice on this as not totally sure which way to go with her. Thanks in advance peeps :)

Bugeye front bumper in vgc (no cracks to plastic)
Looking for a very good condition Bugeye front bumper for a wrx wagon. Don't want one with any damage, not fussed about paint so much as unless it's in silver it'll be resprayed anyway but don't want anything with structural damage to it. If anyone has or knows of one I'd be keen to hear please. I'm located in the Essex area for anyone closer to home. Cheers in advance

Removing front mud flaps
Can anyone give me any pointers as to how the front mudflaps are usually fitted on the bigeyes please? Unfortunately my driveway took a dislike to the front ds flap this evening and has pulled what appears to be two mounts out and badly bent the bracket which is meaning there is contact between one of the corroded bolts and bracket and my tyre so haven't used the car this evening and missed out on going to a meet. When it happened it was dark so again not really been able to see a lot but as these came with the car when I bought it two weeks ago and have not had one long enough to know the ins and outs of what and what not needed when fitting / removing these? How does the inner arch come out and do I need to remove it to get to the bolts which attach the flap to the outer edge of the wheels arch? Any advice great fully received. Thanks, Craig

Exhaust question
That's cool mate, shame you couldn't get it fitted in the end then :( I am also considering the Raptor as have heard loads of good reviews on it so am tempted. Although doesn't have the big name attatched it seems a decent system although will only be changing the rear on mine.

Exhaust question
Ah I see, that's cool I will delve a little deeper first then. Have you got the raptor fitted or rather another one on then? How does it sound and perform if so?

Exhaust question
Just wondering as have heard mixed answers in the past but would a Blitz but spec R rear section off of a gc8 classic fit onto my gdb newage bug wagon or will it be totally wrong? I have found one that would be what I'm after exhaust wise but it all depends if they are interchangeable or if totally wrong. I'm thinking wrong as I thought quite a lot had changed between the two versions but am being given different answers by other people. Anyone shed any light or confirm either way?

Been a little while
Thanks for the welcome back again. It wasn't a long break away but I did miss the car more than I thought I would. I also had always been in the opinion of why would i want a wrx when there is the sti option however as it has been proven to me a well sorted out wrx can run rings round a lightly modded sti (well it does my old one) and that one had been given huge praise by several people for the way it performed and drove. Either way I won't be so overlooking on the wrx's from now on as they are still pretty special even if they don't have a 6spd and other additions of it's bigger brother. I did nearly get another sti which again had been well spec'd up but the owner started messing me around when I asked if I could get it checked out (at my expense) and then didn't get back in touch with me so then I found my wagon and again far nicer example than the black sti I was considering. What you said is right, I am smiling with this one so much and that is all that matters ;)

Been a little while
Yep very true stants. Had to do it as thought it was going to implicate things at home and affect the children which isn't fair so I had to cut ties but as it turned out in the end the hasty reaction worked well in our favor. Very pleased all round and wife and children prefer this one too so browny points all round lol :)

Been a little while
Well it's been a little while since I was last posting, mostly because we had to sell the sti due to unforeseen circumstances which really made me rather frustrated and peeved at the whole situation. Literally 2 weeks after selling it turned out we had made a rather over hasty decision to sell her as things turned round much quicker than we anticipated and hadn't fallen foul as much as we feared. I suppose it was mainly due to worrying about the children and the "do we really need an over the top second car" feelings that madee make the jump but in the long run I think it's actually worked out for the best. Last Sunday, we managed to get a replacement for the Bugeye, we got a Bugeye! This time however I have now got a silver wagon wrx which is actually much more exciting to drive than the sti was. Probably something to do with 314hp and Ksport 8 pots up front along with full whiteline suspension setup that has something to do with it. Needless to say I haven't stopped smiling since we picked it up and this one is nigh on immaculate so I think initially selling the sti was the best move I made as otherwise wouldn't have ended up with this one. Will try to upload some pics as soon as I work out how's best. Anyway, means I'm back :)

How do I diagnose this knock
Mine does this from the rear too. Most noticeable when pulling off of my driveway as I have to do a ninety degree turn whilst reversing off the driveway and the car knocks loudly but it also have it feel like it doesn't want to actually make that kind of turn. It's like the back end locks up and is fighting the whole manouvre. It's worse when turning out into the same side of the road as my house (tighter turn) if I pull out onto the opposite side it is far smoother, less knocks throughout and doesn't go as tight or feel like it locks so much? Also get most knocks from mine when at a crawling pace, when driving normally I get very little if any noise from anything on the car barring engine and exhaust lol, the way we like it to be :) The slow speed knocks are annoying and I am trying to track them down but it's proving hard to source and as still extremely early days of ownership it's all very much learning as I go with the scoob.

Slow speed manouvering.
Yep, was a day of ***** ups on the sellers part which made it a !Removed! long day but we got it home in the end with a very uneventful drive home thankfully :) So far very pleased!

Slow speed manouvering.
Haha, suggests possibly not then lol. Ah well it's one thing I won't be so concerned about for now then. I will keep an eye on it over the coming time so if gets worse or what not I will hopefully notice it but if they seem to do this then that's fine. Just another thing to get used to :)

Slow speed manouvering.
Ah so it's reasonably standard then for that? All a learning curve for me at the mo. Thanks for that :)

Silver blob eye wrx whitehouse road 28/12
Saw a silver blob eye (think wrx) in whitehouse road today around 2pm. Was a couple in the car I think, he waved and flashed and I waved back, was in the Blue bugeye sti. Anyone on here?

Slow speed manouvering.
No it had the belt replaced yesterday before I brought it home. I dunno how best to describe it, just feels like it doesn't enjoy going at slow speed more reversing and turning very tightly like a 90 degree bend, just feels like it's a little lumpy whilst doing that. The rest of the time it's absolutely spot on but just very tight slow turning it feels like it's almost trying to push on rather than turn? Think that's the best way I can describe really.

Slow speed manouvering.
Hello all, now only picked the car up yesterday so it is all very new to me indeed but thought if ask this as having never owned a 4wd before it does feel odd to me but if it's normal then it's something I'll get used to. The car at slow speeds whilst manouvering around (say reversing off driveway on lock into the road or doing a 3 point turn) feels like it's almost fighting itself as your making the movement? I know the shocks all knock slightly at slow speed so not totally sure if that will affect it but just wondering if it's because of it being 4wd that it's the diffs just not completely enjoying it (is it something they all do) or if mine may have an underlying issue? Hopefully getting the car to have a full once over this coming week but just thought id ask in advance if it's a common trait of this type of car. Sorry if it's a complete novice question but I've only ever had either fwd or rwd before and the rwd's had a similar feel when had the LSD fitted but other than that I don't have much to compare to. It's a 52 plate bugeye sti if it makes any difference. Cheers for any info :)

Bugeye sti top mounts.
Mate it was a pain in the !Removed! of a day and all over the place. I am back up that way at some point for work related business as he was almost opposite the Mercedes dealers so when the time arises I'll let you know. Be the only Scoob in the car park so you'll know who's who lol.
