Yeh I contemplated getting a carbon fibre scoop which had a mesh on it which looked smart, ended up just getting a 2nd hand genuine STI one instead :D -

Wheels are booked in, getting picked up on Tuesday and getting all 4 wheels completely overhauled and painted speedline gold! Will be strange having my car sit on my driveway on axle stands for a couple of days :D

If the check is to make sure you have one, why not pick up a 2nd hand standard cat and just install it for MOT purposes? Cheaper for you and still have the benefits of decat! :D -
Yeh engine wise you are identical to the hatch!

I would imagine that a fully forged engine would be pretty solid... as long as you do the usual, service regularly, warm up and cool down the engine correctly and not use the anti-lag all the time, should be fine!

Gave her a good wash at the weekend, wheels are getting quite bad corrosion wise, previous owner didn't do a great job looking after them! Awaiting a quote to get them refurbed and painted! Question is... which colour: Gold? Gun metal grey? Pink.......?

I hope you can turn the anti-lag off as that may attract some unwanted attention from the rozzers!! It does look mental tho!

The usual, check service history, see if the seller has all the paperwork for the work done. Check for smoke out of the exhaust (blue smoke could be a sign of a dying turbo), listen for any knocks from the engine, check in arches for signs of rust etc

A lot of members here have imports so it can't be that much of a ballache!! Def keep us updated, if the spec list is true... should be an absolute monster!
