  1. Sound quality is decent, not very bassy tho... altho they are only 5" speakers, guess I'll reinstall my sub and buy some brackets to secure properly this time :D
  2. Got there in the end.,.. had to drill new holes in the adapters so they would fit in the original mounting holes
  3. Ok... After contemplating drilling new holes in the door... decided it would be far easier to drill new holes in the adapters and success!!
  4. Failed at fitting speakers in my front doors... the adapters no where near line up with the original holes... which kinda defeats the purpose... :/
  5. You can take off the ICV and give it a clean... my car would randomly jump in revs between gears changes, cleaned the ICV and it cured the issue
  6. Well, I bought a speaker kit off ebay which consisted of two speakers, two adapter brackers and two cable adapters. Cable adapters worked great but the adapter bracket? Not so much.... It's waaaaaaaaaay too big, not even close to aligning with the existing holes which I've heard there are brackets out there that do line up. If the bracket is screwed into the top hole, the bracket goes so far down, it completely blocks the door card from going back on! Has anyone had any luck with brackets they have bought which fit directly into the existing holes?? I'd rather avoid drilling as much as possible, next route would be to get my father-in-law to make me up some brackets...
  7. Yes mine is 18L... don't think my car would suit not having a rear bumper... sorry! :D
  8. Uprated panel filter and airbox resonator delete to get induction turbo noise! Very straight forward and can be done on your driveway!
  9. Yeh my bonnet scoop was colour matched, he asked me for the colour code and it has the gold flake and everything... cost me 80 quid for the scoop, so i would say less than 200 for a bumper
  10. The front passenger door looks OK... :D
  11. Finally ordered speakers to replace all 4 junk ones... quite excited :)
  12. Yeh I had a similar issue when trying to find a black STI bonnet scoop... ended up having to buy a blue one and get it resprayed, could be an option for you!
  13. I'd mount it above the turbo... it looks like you really don't have many other options :D
  14. Had to remove the plastic undertray underneath the passenger side as it had come loose and was scraping along the grind... was not a particularly great sound to drive home to!!
  15. Welcome to the club!! Very windy on the east coast... forth road bridge is the bane of my life!!
  16. If you want all the sucking noises with the standard airbox, you can remove the airbox resonator :D
  17. Caliper bolts may also be a massive PIA to remove... I tried with mine but couldn't get them off... had to get it into a garage :/ and no electrics to worry about!
  18. 99% of impreza owners will wave at each other... i wave at every one I see :D
  19. Sorry, didn't specify which end! The other end, the one that connects to the cat pipe!! All the work is done now... 6 hours of labour!! One of the hard brake lines broke due to corrosion so i'm glad I didn't try the brake lines on my driveway!! Also my front caliper pins were siezed which would have also been an absolute bum to remove!! Does sound really good now with the cat pipe removed :D
  20. So much boost it punches you in the face :)
  21. Gambit? Excessively loud? Surely not.... :D
  22. Genius!! To get the same noise Gambit is talking about you can remove the airbox resonator... get all the turbo and induction noise that way!!
  23. It's only around 30 quid for one... might just cut my losses and buy another one :D
  24. Oh of course you would live dangerously!! :P I think since the dry types are the same price, not really worth the risk for no gains :D
