  1. Have to agree enjoyed reading this thread from the beginning some great mods and well executed. A lot of what you've done is similar to what I'd like to fit. I like the bonnet struts so any info you can recall about them would be appreciated ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘. Car looks great a real credit to all the hard work and effort that's gone into it ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž
  2. I've very recently installed a japspeed ali radiator on my 04 sti with silicone top & bottom hoses and can't recommend it highly enough keeps the car super cool. Very reasonably price compared to the likes of mishimoto.
  3. No mid life crisis there mate I'm nearly at the big 5 "0" and still ride a gsxr 1000 Z4 ( K4 limited edition) and bought my scooby about 2 years ago. Have lots of friends who still can't believe I drive a scooby they are more surprised at that than my sports bike. My older sister rides a brand new cbr 600 sports bike as well as her partner on an aprillia turno. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘. Love the bike still like kwakers
  4. Interested in a NE meet but like others I work away from home down south so a weekend is my preferred option ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  5. Region South Tyneside Car/ model Impreza WRX STI UK BLOBEYE 2004 Mods full decat (possibly milltec) 3port boost solenoid K&N panel filter and remap (360 bhp). Strut braces front & rear 24mm arb mounts & links to be fitted as well as front mount intercooler to go on. Picture z
  6. Very nice ๐Ÿ˜ Very cool ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  7. Ordered a new whiteline 24mm rear anti-roll bar ,new drop links and mounting brackets from Revoloution 247 in Gateshead. Saved a wee bit of cash they were doing discount over the weekend happy days ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  8. Oil change using shell helix ultra, k& n filter and new washer. Used road & grime remover from machine mart (apologies to the original poster of that tip ) only did a quick once over with it but very pleased with the results. When I've more time I'll do the engine bay properly with it ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  9. Filled up with shells finest V power and went to Snetterton to watch the racing. Great day out again.
  10. Well I opted for the Japspeed ally radiator it worked out less than half the price of the Mishimoto radiator. The fit is very good with all the ancillaries fitting onto it very well. Quite an easy job to undertake and I changed all the original hose clamps to more robust jubilee clips. Very satisfied with the rad and because it's quite a bit larger than the standard one it keeps the car much cooler now so I'd highly recommend anyone wishing to change their rad to go for the Japspeed one. Hope this helps anyone else out there. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž
  11. It can't be removed without replacing it or repairing it if that's what you mean. The decat is what's causing your car to fail the emissions test that's what mine fails on without using a sympathetic tester who'll turn a blind eye to the emissions. Good luck with what ever route you go down sale or repair. Shame you feel the need to sell but understand with wanting a fresh start ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  12. Hi lads and lasses just a quick question I've got some holidays coming up so the scoobies getting a bit tlc. It needs a new radiator and I'm more than likely going to get a mishimoto rad but what do people think of the japspeed ally rads? They look good and are nearly half the price of the mishimoto ones but is the quality good ? Hopefully someone has experience of these rads. Thanks for any response.
  13. Know that feeling only to well mate mines sat on the drive waiting for a new uprated all ali radiator. ๐Ÿ˜
  14. Picked up the new top hose from Cambridge Subaru only to find the cheap plastic top of the rad all crumbling and cracked upon trying to fit said hose. Not impress that a top of the range performance car has rubbish rad would of thought they'd fit an all aluminium one. Looks like that's next on the shopping list now ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก
  15. Top cooling hose split today spraying coolant over the engine bay. Used some temporary fixing tape from halfords until I can get a replacement from Subaru. Would like to replace them all with silicone ones but that will have to wait till after the house move. Just hope the temporary fix holds long enough. ๐Ÿ˜
  16. Took a drive to Snetterton to watch a bit of 750 car championship racing another good day out shame about the few (heavy at times) showers. Meet a nice gentleman in an 04 blob WRX STI. Very nice car wish my paintwork was as good as his. Just a shame we couldn't get parked side by side. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€
  17. Mulled over cutting what remains of the a/c motors belt off save it from disintergrating throughout the engine bay. Looks like the pulley below it has siezed. With the current weather I won't be missing the a/c ha ha ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  18. Strangely enough that's what I was thinking as a temporary measure till its done more securely and neatly ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  19. The 1st things I bought for mine were front and rear strut braces (ยฃ155) and good quality mud flaps. That wud still leave you over ยฃ750 which you could just about go for a set of coilovers, probably wouldn't leave anything in the kitty for set up and four wheel alignment though. Good luck how ever you see fit to spend your 1K wish I'd been in your position ๐Ÿ˜
  20. Like the sound of that using mdf for the boot floor, it adds a bit of extra weight but that's better than the sub box and amps flying round the boot. Cheers lads ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  21. Nice like the sound of that. I've been thinking of going down that exhaust route after talking to the lads at Revoloution 247 back end of last year when I was having trouble mot'ing my scooby. It's currently got a full decat system of unknown origin it does sound nice though so undecided as yet. Nice car though mate and does sound nice. Fair play letting the other half drive it mine won't even get in mine ha ha just the way I like it ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  22. Took the scooby to Snetterton today to watch the BRSCC racing. Good days racing especially the classic cars. Noticed a classic scooby parked in the opposite car park to where I was park ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜€
  23. I have mate but don't fancy them I like them in the boot out the way. Cheers for the idea though ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜€
  24. I'm currently upgrading my sound system and was wondering how others have securely mounted a sub-woofer in the boot of an Impreza? I know some will say don't add the extra weight but I'm not after a balls out track demon neither am I gonna totally kill that lovely burble.
  25. Can't see any problem splitting the wires do you have the connectors/plugs for the sti lights ? That would make it an easy job to wire up.
