  1. Ordered front set of EBC yellow stuff pads. Much needed not a lot left on the ones on there at the minute.
  2. I tried Keith Michaels but found them very hard to get through to tried for several days in a row but kept getting the same answer message he was on the other line what for 3 days in a row ??? Didn't even get a call back so gave up.
  3. Seams when you drive a scooby we all have a target on our boots and that every other driver wants to say they've raced and beaten a Scooby no matter what pile of dog pooh or super car they drive. Quite funny at times but more annoying most of the time. Hey ho wouldn't change it for a minute though love the scooby to much.
  4. Annoyed a guy in a brand new bmw m3 he didn't expect my humble jap missile to be as quick as it is ha ha
  5. Just read your post been working away. If you've not sorted it yet it could be the pump in the boiler I've had that problem before. Hope you've sorted it pal.
  6. Looks good mate I'm a fan of classics was that an rs200 in the background?
  7. Hosed a build up of road salt from the car today only washed her a day ago 😬. Hosed the wheel arches as usual the by accident more than anything else hosed behind the rear bumper and couldn't believe the amount of grud and mud that came away 😦😦😦 will defo do it properly next time I was the car.
  8. Feedback like that through the steering wheel usually means warped discs.
  9. Great shots there mate looks a good show as I'm also into my bikes
  10. I was told my scooby had a cat back exhaust on it when I purchased it only to find out come the mot a year later it was decatted. My emissions were similar to yours but luckily enough I know a guy that can still get an mot minus the emissions part so good luck on your search for a "friendly " tester. Best ask a tester at a small garage not a dealership or franchise like Kwik fit or halfords.
  11. Charging a flat battery I'll have to see why my solar powered trickle charger isn't doin it's job.
  12. I believe it's the circumference that's affects the speedo not the width hence changing from 60 to 55 profile will alter the speedo slightly.
  13. Hi mate welcome to the club it's great for information and tips. Another scoobie in Tyneside is great to see as well.
  14. He said it looked pretty nastie and drove past again on Sunday on his way to work just as they had pulled it out of the bushes said it was well mangled at the front end. ☹️☹️☹️ Hopefully the owner is ok and secondly the car can be repaired.
  15. Agree with previous post as most windscreens are part of the structural integrity now. And if nothing else water ingress could cause all manner of problems especially this time of year where trapped water may freeze and cause more damage.
  16. Bit of a prang over the weekend near Sterling spotted by my stepson ☹️
  17. Any of the scoobie owners (blue or black motors) on here that are driving round South Tyneside on here ??
  18. Cool bulbs mate I take it they will give off a bright white light. Let us know how you get on with them.
  19. Hi and welcome. Great looking car I got my Scooby from just outside Manchester and had great fun driving it home to Tyneside.
  20. Fitted a set of blue scoobyworld mud flaps. They look great and quite easy to install all be it having to remove the wheels but that gave me the chance to look over the suspension and brakes. New pads will be required soon
  21. Hi does anybody know if the cat off a WRX 2001 bug eye will fit my 2004 sti? My car has a decat fitted so won't pass an mot need a cheap cat and have seen this advertised on flea bay for £80.
  22. Yes as above mine felt like it didn't release but if you push the bonnet down where the catch is it might pop up mine did but be careful not to push to hard and dent the bonnet.
  23. Booked the unwell girl into the doctors on Friday to see what's happening with the emissions. So still longing to give her a proper blast. On the plus side both strut braces are fitted and just waiting for my new mud flaps to arrive.
  24. Rear strut brace is now fitted. It involved taking the whole of the back seat out fairly straight forward 6 bolts and it was out. Access to the strut tops is very limited and fitting the mounting plates was quite difficult. After much persuasion they went in and the bracing bar fitted in the boot. Took about 45 minutes to complete the job and they both look great. Well worth the money and effort to fit.
  25. The strut braces have turned up and look good. Ive fitted the front one and it only took 10 minutes or so. Just 3 nuts on each strut and the fit was very good. A wee bit tight doing the bolt up between the mounting plate and the bracing bar but no real drama. Ive not fitted the rear brace as the rear seats have to come out and as its raining not ideal to be doing that.
