  2. Leave yellow cap closed.i would say 99% its headgasket 1% could be blockage or air in system but sound exact same as my hatch which was the head gasket.you will no for sure with a sniff test Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  3. When the car is cold open the headertank their will probky be no coolant in it,so fill it back up.thats the tank on top left side engine not your expansion tank on side radiator.start car n let it get to normal tempreture leave the bonnet open and rev car to about 2500 rpm and watch the tank at side radiator see if it over flows.if it does or fills to top its head gasket.exhaust gas is going in coolin system and it push's all coolant out the expansion leavin no coolant or very little to circulate round system so car other heats.harder you rev it more pressue from exhaust goes in n push's coolant out harder.go garage n get it sniff tested to find out for sure. 4. when you rev the car if the other flow bottle is filling to the top it is most likely the head gasket, thats what my hatch was doing, exhaust gas going into coolant as you rev it the pressure push's the coolant into the over flow and it erupts like a volcano.is their any sludge in the radiator thats a sign of headgasket gone as well.
  5. looking very nice,i wouldnt want to drive it incase i got any the engine dirty
  6. never used 1 but i was going to get this for my hatch http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/GB/WRX_Perrin_Short_Shifter_Adapter/SU8_PSP-INR-200_.aspx i would stay away from that on japspeed looks bit of a hacksaw job,cut in half and welded to gether lower down, kartboy get good reviews from the yanks and i follow a couple people on youtube from usa with modded hatch's that have removed the cobb and gone for the kartboy.
  7. nice, think the hatch looks well in red.
  8. Hi here we have a GFB Respons ajustable bypass valve for sale, these retail at £254 this was taken off my 05 blob wrx but fits sti as well, selling for £150 posted. WRX & STI Go Fast Bits Respons Bypass Valve The Go Fast Bits Respons blow-off/bypass valve system for 02-07 WRX and STI is much more than simply a noise maker or a factory valve replacement. The Go Fast Bits Respons valve features the GFB Turbo Management System (TMS),designed specifically for the purpose of turbo lag reduction. Go Fast Bits in-house testing facilities have measured a return to peak boost up to 30% faster between shifts than most factory systems, giving you quicker on-off boost response and faster effective acceleration potential. The Go Fast Bits Response bypass valve features their patented adjustable venting system, allowing you to adjust the sound and vent volume on your valve like a stereo volume control. Vent or recirculate your boost and turn up or down your Respons volume as you see fit! The unique Respons adjustability allows you to fine tune your turbo system for better drivability while still getting the traditional atmosphere venting noise. Leave those little noise makers behind and upgrade to a system tunable to your Subaru without triggering that dreaded check engine light and compromising daily drivability. This is a direct factory replacement kit that includes everything you need for a complete install with no cutting or further modification to your WRX or STI. FITMENT: Subaru STI 2004-2007 Subaru WRX 2002-2007

  12. welcome chris, ooh we do like pics on here
  13. i just got rid of my 07 wrx hatch 2.5,head gasket failed.early engine are terrible 07 but i was told round 09 10 are much better,a 07 engine if you plan to boot it about then expect a bill at some point or get the engine built,or just drive it like a granny and it sould be ok,changing oil i would say dont really make a diffrence,i changed my oil every 5000 mile in the hatch used shell full synthetic and genuine subaru filter and it did not stop it failing.at the end of the day any engine head gasket can fail, dont matter if its a 2.0 or a 2.5 if its going to go it will, you buy a second hand car,may have full service history but that dont tell you how its been driven,so you buy a car on your judgement and if it fails it fails its just 1 them things.even though the head gasket failed on my hatch i am still thinking of getting another 1 just a later model maybe a 09.
  14. All ready done that gambit [emoji6] Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

  20. we buy any car are rip offs,i tried them with a 206 gti 7 months mot, nothing wrong with car,was selling for daughter they offered £600,they wana give you rock bottom price.mate tried them with a ford galaxy he said same basicly want you to give them the car. @Bluejem best way to not get conned or deceived is have someone with you who no's about car with you i say.
  21. I am same.not had coilovers becorejust lowering spring and dont want to spend a fortune on them as once on and at hight i want i wont be messin with them.will look at them on ebay when i get home. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  22. i will see what the boost is doing when i fit gauges this week, just waiting for the pod to arrive, got gauges all ready.the car is a bit squeeky over bumps from the rear end so got that to sort as well its driving me crazy but apart from that am very happy with the car, centre console panels was looking old the silver had started to show its age and was wearing off so i gave them a nice new coat of black, much better then the silver.
  23. had my blob about 4 days now,all ready got the urge to change things on it, mods it has are 3" decat exhaust no remap,i allways thought if you decat then would need a remap to run right, this runs spot on. sti style rear spoiler and 17" alloys things i have planned so far lip and side skirt extensions foglight covers prosport gauges perrin wing stiffies may change back box the 1 on car looks a bit dated and will add a panel filter but not look't yet to see whats in the box uprate the disks and pads all round add some coilovers maybe. thats my plan so far,i did say i was not doing anything to it but that lasted about 2 hours from getting car lol
  24. love this car, think its the colour
