  1. @Xander lol i dont no why it was reading that its usually 23,if only it was that all the time.
  2. picture of all gauges in car but sad as just found out head gasket has gone and on way back from garage i hit a man hole cover on road works and smashed my lip spoiler, hmm decision's.
  3. well verdict from the garage is the head gasket is shot, like you said @Scoobyghostit is filling up with exhaust gas and blowing coolant out the over flow, and to top my day of i was coming back went threw some road works were resurfacing road and manhole covers were high up,had to drive over them so went slow but still broke my lip spoiler in half, happy days
  4. as people said, local pc plod will probly let it slide but motorway police are a diffrent thing, they wont, they will fine you and give ticket to change it back, was 1 on interceptors the other day,did not change letters or size just moved them from original spacing, ticket and fine, other month jordan was on for her range rover were she moved numbers, got same ticket and fine.so i say do it at own risk, you may get done but you may not, best thing to do is get a proper plate, instead of trying to spell something like the 1's above that just look naff, even if they was on a buggatti or something they would look naff
  5. @Scoobyghost going to nip to garage in morning and have it done.
  6. well car still on the sick. Can leave the car ticking over all day and temp gauges stay perfect but bit white smoke and water coming from exhausts, rev it and get more white smoke but coolant level stays same,go for a drive dont see any smoke and temp stays normal, come home open bonnet and overflow tank is over flowing, heater gone flat cold, will this be a head gasket problem, when i drained coolant their was no sign of any oil in it and when i drained oil this morning their was no coolant in the oil.i read on a site someone with same problem overflow fillin and overflowing and was told it was turbo problem, any advice guys

  10. ooh sign me up for the wrx,
  11. thanks, sorted it now,i did use the housing for the hose was easy and works great, hopefully the old boy will be back to full health now, found the water pipe to the turbo was leaking, new clip on sorted that so sould not loose any fluid now, spent most the day flushing the system out, water was crystal clear when done,so will keep a eye on it over next couple days but fingers crossed will be ok,oil change in morning and he sould get a full clean bill of health again thanks for all help and advice guys
  12. I'm also fiitin my water temp gauge at same time,i have 1 of them addaptor that you cut top rad hose but didnt wana do that.is their somewere on engine to mount sensor.thing someone told me before theirs a spare bung over number 3 cilinder. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

  15. these will fit http://cobrasport.com/index.php/cobra-sport-exhaust/subaru/impreza/subaru-impreza-sport/gl-06-07.html i think if you got a wrx or sti section then you would need a addapter making as its bigger bore pipe, but if you contact the guys at cobra sport they will tell you what you need or can fit.
  16. Does anyone recommend a brand coolant flush to use.what do you guys use. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  17. My personal opinion is if its a genuine private plate from dvla not had to mess with it they ok i would have one.but when you have to move letter about to sort off spell something they just look cheap and naff.n personally if you have messed about with it n police give you a fine then thats your own fault. 18. @steveuk260i use halfords OAT ready mix't as well, will flush it again at weekend and give it a good clean threw and see how it is.
  19. @confusedbrogi will have a look at doing that,i wont be changing ride hight after just want it a bit lower so not as much gap,but its on hold at min till i find out whats wrong with cooling system.
  20. if you move the letters, you now get a fine and a nice ticket to get them changed back to normal.
  21. i replaced rad becouse i snap't the drain plug off when i fitted my silicone hose's ,not sure what flush it was now its been a while and got rid of bottle got it from local motorist discount shop, just been out again and all coolant is in over flow bottle and rad full dry sludge which smells burned, theirs no sign of oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil,i will give the system another good clean out and see how it is,if still same looks like its going to sss to see what he thinks it is and hope its not major
  22. i did not use parcel force i used fedex and like i said before the final charges import tax came to about £20 a item.
  23. @kershaw-330sthe surround just clips in,just lower your steering as far as it goes then grab the bottom of the surround and pull it will pop out,i was going to use 52mm gauges but could not position them so they did not obstruct seeing the gauges behind,so i used 42mm gauges now i can still see all the temp gauge and speedo.
  24. Gauges surround in car.needs a better rub down n paint when weather pics up.but its in for now and workin. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
