Hawkeye WRX upgrades...
aucky replied to Haarrrllll's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
induction kits are good if you like the noise from one, apart from that they loose you bhp mighty car mods do a test on you tube to prove the standard air box is the best, just upgrade the filter but not with the type you oil, their no good either,i had a kn typhoon induction kit on a blob,£300 complete peace of s*** and over priced,if you do want the induction noise then their is much better then the kn and much cheaper.if your on a buget and want a cheap but nice exhaust, with nice sound then try the toyo exhaust,i have just ordered another for my car from them. http://www.toyosports.co.uk/subaru-75-c.asp -
Expansion tank/rad issue STi S202
aucky replied to SC0uT S2o2's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
doin exact same as my wrx hatch was,ok driving slow with little rev or standing still, give it some revs and blows coolant out the overflow bottle, exhaust gas gettin in cooling system, does not show its over heading either my gauges said all was well but when you look't their was no coolant left in system only what was left in expansion tank, head gasket problem. -
Quick upgrade.bonnet gas struts came today.take about 10mins to fit. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

I'm looking a 2.0R 160 and I need know all about it.
aucky replied to jimycrimson's topic in General Subaru Chat
my 2.0 sport classic used more petrol then my wrx blobeye and my blobeye 2.0 GX was even worse as had to have right foot stuck to carpet to get it goin any speed. -
dont like that colour, looks like wet primer, love your car though

well guys been working on the gauges, got all the wires work't out as which is for what, still waiting for my connectors to come then i can make the proper harness for them, but for now i have left the boost gauge wired up.triple pod still dont fit how it sould so need more dremmel work on that and to make things worse i drop't it getting in the car and have broke it,so have to fix that as well, its a very poor build quality, its only made of body filler and its like a egg shell, very disappointed in it scoobyworld, but it will be perfect as i want it when i finished, just taking more work then it sould have, still making custom pod for the 5th gauge, but am hopeing all is done at the weekend
-
you need to change to unequal lengh manifold for a rumble, when i fitted the quad pipes to my wrx hatch with none res centre section it did not really make a diffrence to what i could hear in the car but every one out side said it sounded nice, guess sound proofing in the hatch is good as well,i was going to swap back to a single pipe with 4 inch exit to try make it a bit louder, still wouldnt have rumbled but i sold car so never got that far into my experiments with it.i was told scoobie clinic do a good manifold.

how do i sell my subaru on this site?
aucky replied to beauautos's topic in New Members Introductions
put it in the members cars for sale forum, its down the bottom of the page. -
i took the front wheel arch liners out the hatch when i fitted my mudflaps to give inside a clean,in the back corners was a block about 6 inch high muck, was solid, will be checking this blob as well when my mudflaps come.think fitting mudflaps sould help prevent it a bit.

you mean the hatchback wrx-s,i use to talk to a doctor near me when i had the wrx hatch,he has the wrx-s hatch 2.5,av not seen any 2.0 for sale only a r206 jdm import which is a 2.0,look on autotrader all wrx-s for sale are 2.5.
-
job well done on them rear light,i could do with doing my headlight, think i will balls them up though
-
i had a 2.0 sport as my 1st n second scoobys, loved both but not the fastest car.i was told by firms you wont get much more then 20bhp with mods if your lucky so best way to go is probly a exhaust that help't a bit and a air filter, after that i would spend my money on the handling side and making it look sweet,if your interested i have a set of sti clocks with 79000 mile on them, blue dials and shift light in the rev counter, £40 posted just remembered i have some sti blue door cars as well £40 posted

fitted new wheel nuts today thanks @Sandals ,made a start on fitting gauges, centre triple pod was a awful fit so spend most the day with the dremel making it fit, start the wiring in the morning.
-
thanks mate, even the mrs says they look bling lol so must be good, think its with the recessed centres that stops them sticking out 2 far.
