  1. Well as promised, Subaru have come up with £250 of vouchers for Blacks outdoors store. I'll be heading to Glasgow tomorrow for some new winter climbing kit. Thanks Subaru / Blacks.
  2. Hi Fkend As the images show, you will loose boot space with the spare tyre. I feel it as I have spare boots, rucksacks and climbing gear in the car, however my feelings are the same as yours. Why have a AWD car that can go anywhere and nobody can come and help you if you get stuck. The loss of space in my opinion is vast. Further to this it will cost £400 odd for the spare. In my opinion its worth the money to have the peace of mind.

Amazing that the black looks a little larger and more aggressive where as the White looks more like the jacked up Impreza. Nice cars though [emoji41]

White cars or off white cars are hard to keep clean at the best of time, never mind winter. The colour make no difference to my drive as its a great car to drive. Blue is hard to keep clean as well so front mud guards may be a good investment.

So I thought I would stick up a post of images of my new XV. I must admit I do like the Blue. The only accessories that I have fitted are the Resin tailgate protector and the spare tyre. I also like the resin tailgate protection strip on the back.
  10. Barrhead Glasgow.
  11. lol. The gopro usually comes along with me so if Helicopters are involved I'm sure it will be posted.

Do you get a full race exhaust and system and mega turbo with that. ;) Sounds good though.

I go the 2.0i Petrol SE in blue. I also purchased the spare wheel with it that takes out a fair bit of boot space, however I'd rather have it in the car. The cargo step resin panel was a no brainer as well with ice axes, crampons and climbing gear going in and out of the car. Apart from that interior mats was all got. I'm looking to add some more to it in the future though. Nice car drives really well and the ride height is good as well. Visibility is far better than the 2012 Honda civic I just traded in. :)
  21. So I go and purchase a Subaru XV to get me out climbing on the hills in winter. I thought this would be the best choice for snow and frost as Subaru have a pedigree when it comes to 4 wheel drive / AWD performance cars. A big smile on my face as i pick up my new car and they go and tell me that I have £250 of vouchers to spend in blacks outdoor clothing. BONUS. Love Subaru already.

I discussed this with my local dealer two days ago when I was picking up my XV. As far as he is aware Subaru ave no intentions of releasing this car in the UK in the near future. So this I assume is just at the concept stage i guess.
