Need to rent or borrow garage with facilities
My OB has issues with a transmission sensor - specifically P1706 which I want to examine. The sensor is mounted high on the tail section of the tranny and only visible (just) from underneath. I'd like to get the car on a lift or over a workshop pit. Does anyone know anywhere in the south east (Kent pref) which rents out facilities such as this by the hour, or who would allow me to borrow? Probably need a couple of hours for my examination, maybe longer period if I proceed with repairs once parts have been got. Thanks all.

Anyone tried one of these? https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-portable-subaru-ashtray.html?spm=a2g0o.home.search.0

Momo steering wheel c/w airbag available
Anyone want or need a Momo steering wheel c/w airbag, off my old Outback (year 2004 or so)? Pictures for reference. Free to collect from CT4 Bridge Kent. No cost but I will not package or arrange courier despatch - no exceptions - so you'll have to arrange that for yourself. There's a headrest in grey leather from, I think the same car which I'm happy to part with at the same time.

Sat nav
That has dual zone aircon. Unlikely to work, apart from any other incompatibilities.

Newbie - potential purchase
I can't comment on a Levorg as haven't been in one but as for the dealer network and support from Subaru towards their product, my experience has been that Subaru in the UK is almost non-existent. Examples impacting me are closures recently of my two nearest dealers (Woodford and Maidstone) so there are none in Kent and only Robertsbridge in Sussex should I need them (rarely, prefer to do my own work where possible). Others experience may vary.

Radiator Fans not cutting in
Relays in place doesn't mean they are all OK. Does the fan/s start if the aircon (if equipped) is powered up?

Keyfob Not Opening Car / Alarm & Immobiliser Activated..
Official subaru dealers should be able to supply the pin provided you can prove ownership - mine did. Costs may apply.

Keyfob Not Opening Car / Alarm & Immobiliser Activated..
Do you have a keypad inside the little flap by drivers' right knee which gives access to the interior fuse box? If so it's likely an OEM (Thatcham?) fitting. If so do you know the 4 or 5 digit PIN and if so does inputting the code make any difference?

Head gasket blown repair costs
It mat be cheaper/easier/quicker to swop in another engine if you can find one. Costing when the actual damage is yet unknown is unlikely to be successful.

XV Power Steering Issue
Have you considered eBay? https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/19056834021 May fit? I don't have any knowledge of this item (my OB has old-style steering) but if you can find a compatible unit, may help? As for coding, no clue. Out of my depth on that one.

H6 valve springs
Good luck with doing hg yourself. **** luck it's happened that the 3.0 is suffering hg in the first place as those motors rarely suffer such failure. I understand doing a 3.0 hg replacement is serious work - have you've previously done this sort of work so realise exactly what you are getting yourself into?

Replace my Passat
Welcome and good luck. Avoid that era of Subaru diesels as they are known to have serious engine failures.

I'd not jump the gun. Someone here should know more about Foresters than me.

Stuck in D-Check mode, CAN or ECM fault?
I wonder if the car has passed an MOT as failures can come if the MIL is on at time of test. Assume you've checked transmission fluid level as needed? Did the lambda sensors get changed before or after the faults appeared?

Sure about that part number? It doesn't follow the Subaru naming protocol.

subaru outback 3.0 2004 Radiator circulation problem
Is the car temperature within normal range/s when this happens? If the temp gauge isn't consistently at the "9 oclock" position when running, you may have bigger problems. Is the thermostat you installed oem (Subaru) or generic? When you fill the radiator do you burp the cooling system to ensure no trapped air remains as these cars can be tricky in this regard.
