  1. Good luck on this forum if that is how you react when someone asks relevant questions. If you don't realise my questions are relevant to your problem you are too stupid to own a Subaru. End of conversation.
  2. A couple of questions - did you fit a genuine Subaru thermostat or a generic, and did you burp the cooling system afterwards properly? On the matter of "no help" - best to have patience and consideration for all of us, some of whom may have far more pressing life problems going on than to jump to reply to you?
  3. @AndyLevorg - thanks for the info. Much appreciated, I did not know about the measuring differences.
  4. Thanks folks. Still baffled - if age related I could expect the newer car to be cheaper, and if emissions related I wouldn't expect the newer one to be ULEZ compliant? Both cars were 3.0 and UKDM.
  5. Thanks. How come then that my 2007 is pricier than my previous 2006?
  6. CT is ok but we've only been down this way for around 9 months so maybe too early for a quality opinion except the traffic is worse than I've ever known and everywhere are roadworks narrowing lanes to widen payments and cycle lanes, apart from one-ways and pedestrianised routes. On the fogs question, saying the front fogs haven't worked since you tried the rears, random thought is to check the tailgate/hatch wiring looms inside the rubber boots between the body and the hatch. Near the right hand hinge especially. Habitual opening and closing the tailgate causes the wires to fray or break, shorting stuff out. Maybe?????? You've checked both fuse panels, assume?
  7. You know that in order for the fogs to work, at least the park lights need to be on as well?
  8. Any thoughts on this? I have a 2007 OB (UKDM, facelift 3.0). It costs over £650 yearly to tax, based I believe on age and emissions. However, it always passes MOT on emissions, and is ULEZ compliant according to their (TfL)website. What logic is this - low emissions for ULEZ compliance yet taxed to the hilt based on a formula years past which bears no relationship to the real world performance? Can anyone explain this? What am I missing? Thanks
  9. Have you tried Autoglass or similar supplier?
  10. Welcome to the forum!
  11. Have you tried somewhere like this? Colour Matched Car Touch Up Paint | PaintNuts
  12. Be cautious about webuyanycar quotes - if that is just an online quote (car not inspected by them yet) unless the car passes their forensic examination with flying colours, their eventual offer will be hundreds less than the quote.
  13. Thanks guys
  14. You will likely have to get a dealer to do it.
  15. Hi and welcome. If you are old I must be geriatric.
  16. Anyone know what has happened with the site?
  17. Breakers yards or eBay - folk post cars breaking so ask one of them for the part you are after, they should get back to you thereafter if they have, if so will list for you.
  18. What's wrong with the current ones? If cloudy, just polish them.
  19. Welcome. We see few Exiga's here.
  20. If you lock the car with the key (not via remote) so the car is locked but not alarmed, does the same night-time alarms still sound? Sometimes one or more door switches, maybe one of the bonnet plungers might be sticky causing the system to think the door/bonnet is open? Worth checking. The only other possibility i can think of is the alarm's 9v battery needs replacing. Found under the scuttle near the nearside wiper mounting position.
  21. The green ones get connected during diagnostics. Leave them apart. No idea about the others.
  22. I'm soon moving to Kent, near Canterbury. Anyone have experience dealing with EKS who are nearby and advertise themselves as Subaru specialists? Subaru Service & Maintenance Specialist - East Kent Subaru Thanks in advance
  23. Either the stalk light switch is in the on position or the switch on top of the steering binnacle is in the on position. Check both.
  24. Welcome both!
