CT is ok but we've only been down this way for around 9 months so maybe too early for a quality opinion except the traffic is worse than I've ever known and everywhere are roadworks narrowing lanes to widen payments and cycle lanes, apart from one-ways and pedestrianised routes. On the fogs question, saying the front fogs haven't worked since you tried the rears, random thought is to check the tailgate/hatch wiring looms inside the rubber boots between the body and the hatch. Near the right hand hinge especially. Habitual opening and closing the tailgate causes the wires to fray or break, shorting stuff out. Maybe?????? You've checked both fuse panels, assume?

You know that in order for the fogs to work, at least the park lights need to be on as well?

Any thoughts on this? I have a 2007 OB (UKDM, facelift 3.0). It costs over £650 yearly to tax, based I believe on age and emissions. However, it always passes MOT on emissions, and is ULEZ compliant according to their (TfL)website. What logic is this - low emissions for ULEZ compliance yet taxed to the hilt based on a formula years past which bears no relationship to the real world performance? Can anyone explain this? What am I missing? Thanks

Be cautious about webuyanycar quotes - if that is just an online quote (car not inspected by them yet) unless the car passes their forensic examination with flying colours, their eventual offer will be hundreds less than the quote.

If you lock the car with the key (not via remote) so the car is locked but not alarmed, does the same night-time alarms still sound? Sometimes one or more door switches, maybe one of the bonnet plungers might be sticky causing the system to think the door/bonnet is open? Worth checking. The only other possibility i can think of is the alarm's 9v battery needs replacing. Found under the scuttle near the nearside wiper mounting position.

The green ones get connected during diagnostics. Leave them apart. No idea about the others.

Anyone interested; 4 Subaru Outback alloy wheels and winter tyres. Off my Gen 3 but should fit other Subaru models with the same wheel pattern 16,5JJ with +48 offset 5x100 bolt pattern All straight and true but shabby. I've used them for a few years as winter beaters Fitted with Hankook i*Sept Evo winters. 215/60 R16 99H. All with plenty tread and hold air well. Date code makes then 2012 build but they look much younger. All kept undercover on pallet when not on the car. I'm in east London and due to move to Kent at the end of the month so these need to go soon. They will need collecting (IG7 4JE) Make me an offer? I'm really not interested in keeping them so if they don't sell at any price they will be going to the tip.
