  1. Those are some hostile places.
  2. Downpipe gasket just been done. This isn't a job that's getting done soon as it's not showing any signs of slipping but should the box need to come out it will all be getting done. I appreciate all the help guys! I'm swaying more to the pink box just in case I ever increase the power more. Don't want to have to strip it all again for the sake of the extra pay out first time round.
  3. I tried all the comparison websites and none got close to what a specialist insurer offered me. I pay 660 for my turbo 2000 with mods. all others were over £1000 before declaring mods. Each to their own and I certainly wouldn't knock what any company can offer specialist or not. It's worth checking them all first as some specialist also offer club discount that many mainstreams won't. Good luck!
  4. I've had one before and really didn't like it as a daily. It's just my past experience with it that puts me off.
  5. Fair do. Reason being is I've seen a bit of oil on the box. It smells like gearbox oil and my mech thinks its input shaft(I have no idea) but if the box is coming off for that I'll be doing the clutch at the same time to save doing it again any time soon.
  6. Oh i might break the 300 one day. So will the pink box be suitable for 270? Are there different sizes to consider?
  7. Just to mention, my clutch is fine and shows no sign of wearing out anytime soon. My main question is "when" the time comes for a clutch replacement is there a best clutch for my car. It's a turbo 2000 UK. I'm not after a paddle clutch but I would be keen on an uprated kit. I had a quick search on the forum but couldn't find anything specific to my question. Hope you guys can help out [emoji4] Much love!
  8. No problem. I might look at changing the intercooler at some point to for both cosmetic and performance reasons. Any recommendations? Also will it need to be mapped in?
  9. I searched all the comparison websites and went to individual companies that aren't included but no one could get close to the price that the specialist offered me. And that was still without modifications.
  10. Coils to the right
  11. [emoji4] Mainstream companies like admiral wanted double and higher for my car without mods.
  12. This one smelt a bit better. Didn't taste so bad either made it easier to swallow. [emoji38]
  13. Wow I typed bs to avoid the filter. Good to know the filter isn't complete bullshit. You're right gambit but I'd rather pick the one who seems to have less bullshit at the time. [emoji4]
  14. Just felt like there was less bs with Keith Michaels.
  15. I said that to the women when I explained why I wasn't going with Adrian flux. All she did was apologise. I called flux first they quoted about 800, then called kieth Michaels and Gary gave me 660. Called back flux and asked why it was so different she said she'll speak to the underwriter where he dropped the price to 630. When I mentioned I was allowed my mods with Keith micheals she then had to go back to discuss it again. I just felt misled at the beginning and if they tried to sell me short now I can only imagine how I'd be treated in the event I needed to make a claim. After all that I thought I'd try and get them competing. Gary was blunt but fair when he said he wouldn't give me a price if he knew he could then drop it. That's not his game were his words.
  16. I'm 27, driving ten years and 6yr ncb. Adrian flux quoted me 630. Keith Michaels quoted me 660. Both allowed my panel filter, exhaust and remap but Gary at Keith Michaels was a lot friendlier and Adrian flux didn't give me the best price first time so in a way tried to blag more money from me.
  17. No haven't looked anywhere sale for a pod. I contacted him again but still no reply since that first contact. Just worried about paying and not getting anything.
  18. 2000 UK model. Ets never got back to me again after I asked them to make me a pod and I asked how I can pay [emoji20]
  19. No not yet. Still looking for the right one. Got any links or good suggestions?
  20. Decisions are tough. You can either throw your money into yours now or save that for the types r. Tough times mate.

  22. Decat downpipe fitted today. Went reasonably well. Had a couple seized nuts but they soon let go. The throttle response is crazy now and the sound is beautiful. The turbo is really distinct now. I'm so hyped up for Thursday and the remap now I'm basically wetting myself. Video to follow.
  23. Decat fitted today! Remap Thursday.
  24. Good news Gaulson! You'll be back and running in no time.
