  1. I'd say he's missed off some engine mods if he thinks he's got 370 bhp. But still the car looks lovely apart from the max power special spoiler so as long as everything is good mechanically you could end up with a very nice car
  2. Sounds like a right pain in the !Removed!. Would the dealer not tell you if changing a pair would cure it? I'm guessing changing all four would solve it but would be a nightmare if the tyres have plenty of life left in them.
  3. New seats sound good. What you going for? The shape of the front seats is a bit old fashioned now subaru should have done a recaro option :)
  4. What wheels have you got now Scott? It looks spot on in the pic
  5. Off the shelf from a reputable company I would say. Any decent manufacturer will have done dyno runs and made sure it has performance benefits as well as looks and more sound. A custom exhaust will probably just give more noise and there's more to making a good one than just making it bigger
  6. Probably more chance of you getting that dog back than us getting a performance pack for the new sti then :(
  7. The perrin intake doesn't require a tune and one of our members sparky is running one. Most of the kits that claim big power gains require a tune probably because there is a lot more air going in and as tidy said the ecu will only correct within a certain range. I've went for a k&n panel filter which probably has very little if any benefits but I do think I can hear the turbo a bit more since I put it in. I'm already at the point where if I was to go any further I would be throwing my warranty away, I'd love to add the milltek downpipe and sports cat and get it mapped to suite but it's a bit of a risk if there's any problems down the line.
  8. I can't see how they could give warranty on that. The dealers don't approve the warranty claims, maybe they could lie and say that the car came back standard but then they would still have to send of the ecu info
  9. Alex I think they can detect a remap. My dealer said the ecu stores a calibration code. If it goes in for warranty the code is read from the ecu and sent to subaru uk and if it doesn't match their code they know the ecu has been messed with.
  10. Hi there. I've got a milltek cat back on mine. My subaru dealer is also a milltek dealer and he says a cat back will not affect your warranty. I can highly recommend the milltek the cars are just too quiet as stock. I was over at the Isle of Man for the TT last week and they use the new sti's as course cars, these things were coming past us flat out, 5 or 6 of them at a time and you can't hear any exhaust noise at all. For me the milltek just compliments the car and let's you hear the motor working without being too loud. I bought mine through Stan palmer subaru at carlisle.

Tell me about it. I had trouble with a wheel speed sensor on my golf gti bringing this light up and ended up with a fault on the ESP control unit. I can't see why they a subaru dealer can't fix something that should be straight forward for them

So have you had this on wince the day you picked it up? Ask them to swap the car for one that works if they can't fix it, see what they say about that
  13. There's a subaru specialist at Carnforth, tegsport.
  14. Are the rear ones adjustable? If so you have to consider this as well as the bar thickness.
  15. Welcome. Glad your enjoying the car. I've had mine 2 month now and it's only getting better
  16. I got the pioneer sat navigation as a dealer option, it doesn't look like any of them the screen is bigger
  17. I can recommend number 3 is hartside pass. I usually go to brough after Middleton in teas dale instead of carrying on to Haydon bridge
  18. What's a TS10 Pete? One things for sure it ain't gonna make it cheaper :(
  19. Get an air filter on ASAP I can't believe they would sell you it like this
  20. Not lot of VAG engines respond really well to a remap without any other parts. I had a mk4 golf get the 150 and looked into a remap, 260bhp + was quoted by the good tuners such as revo. The latest golf R and gti have been getting gains of up to 70 bhp from just a remap, it's like VW are holding them back but it passes me off that I would have to buy a full system, air filter and then a remap and still get nowhere near these gains.
  21. They look great in white. Now all you need to do is get a few miles on it then kick it's !Removed! ;)
  22. Nice one, have fun :)
