  1. Lmao, all this going down when I've decided to sell up and bought a new car :(
  2. One thing I am gutted about is didn't manage to get any meets done with my classic, recent mods and all too including exhaust! However mr's getting new job means tbh she no longer needs her car which I often used as my daily etc, then I also have 40 mile a day journey on my working days, which has forced me to take the decision. Got a new car today and without taking anything away from the scooby, I Love it!, E280 CDI 06 plate, very pokey (obviously not as much as the sub), but spending approx 7 hours also in a car, I'm sure I've made the right choice for now. I will be on here often to view the temptations
  3. Saxo is a bargain, never had one, never sat in one, but for that price is awesome, gauranteed profit, scrapage value is more thatn that all day. I've bought a new car today,,,I will get a scooby again, maybe a few years but 100% see myself owning one again.
  4. 2 days ago. washed and waxed. and created an advert. The car is a minter no other words. Unfortuanetly not got the space to keep hold of my classic, job location means I may have to part with it. Following cars I'm thinking of getting and insurance changeover as follows: Bmw 320d m sport =£18 lexus is 220d =£5.00 Merc E280 CDI ==£57
  5. So in theory when I finally put one on my standard classic, the higher the noise would indicate stronger boost/engine and signs of a tight engine. :) also signs of a well running turbo?
  6. Welcome
  7. Just done a quick google, I got answer 5x100 but do some checks also make sure u get same answer pal. edit lol. Apparently some of the early blob eyes are 5x100 and the later ones are 5x114 so I'm guessing it's a fit either way. But if anyone else has any light to shed please feel free.
  8. In all honesty I'm not sure what your fitment is? If it's 5x114.3 or 5x100 then sure will.
  9. As above, you have waited a while. This is the crucial time, decide on exactly what shape you like best and want most. What was the shape you have wanted more, classic, bugeye or blob. Colour is crucial too, u don't want to be waxing ur car and thinking if only i had that colour it would look 10x better Buy ur car taking the above into account, also service history, m.o.t. check it too, hpi, check it from cold, make sure fully warmed before test drive and it pulls as it should. Good classics are rare now. But if u find a really good one, the thing to remember is in some cases the value will not drop if maintained and kept clean, but may rather go up.
  10. Welcome to the forum
  11. Welcome to the forum.
  12. I'm on second classic and have had pleasure of owning a blobeye sti a few years back. The sti was an awesome car, love the hawkeye front end. The later years are a bit more comfy than the classics. Mines just a uk model but with 57k, with ur budget i'd aim for a blobeye sti with a ppp pack (305) standard. Think 05 and after have the wider arches.
  13. Ah right, what was the standard uk imprezas running when they first came out? I.e, were they any specifics, not sure what I'm on but feels quick enough when I hit boost lol.
  14. Fuel would hold it back, but still should have hit boost as if it was Honda vtec getting dyno'd or mapped it should still hit vtec.
  15. Thats a bummer so early in ownership, hope it gets sorted.
  16. Welcome and good move.
  17. Welcome. The usual menace of the arches. Is imperial blue the same as the focus st 2005-09? Or the newer 1? Thought about mica blue, or the terzo blue (scooby colours?) No doubt the ford blue will good & different.
  18. Welcome.
  19. Are these the dv 10? think it's atmospheric, as far as what I've read it's a 50/50 on other forums too. really think it depends on specific car and a bit of luck, although I am adamant to get the classic bov sound pssst psssst.
  20. Anyone had any experience of the baileys bov, model DV10? It's an atmosheric, there's a couple on ebay now, ones for £60 or best offer, is another 1 that's on bidding. IT is a direct fit from what i've gathered.
  21. Any idea on what the front size is supposed to be? may get around to upgrading the fronts, but wouldn't want to cut anything. Did you check what the standard ones were (size?).
  22. Recently was thinking of this, I asked a couple of people who I know are into detailing/cleaning etc, the advice was keep away, it's !Removed!. I would agree even though I've not used it, would be ok on a fairly clean car as stated above. After been washed etc, drive to a show/meet and maybe use it after the drive to bring it back up to a clean car whilst been parked up.
  23. BUMP!! As there is no offers at the moment heres the bumped price, these are brand new, with tuning nuts, still boxed and wrapping etc, like you would have them off a shelve from a wheel showroom! £350
  24. Recently, bought a JAPSPEED backbox off a member, very happy with the looks and sound. Also fitted an sti front grille badge. Recent polish with MER and quickwax using simoniz product. Passed m.o.t a couple of weeks back. Hopefully almost done with mods. Next ones maybe a dumpvalve once I figure out if it will do more good rather than bad. Also 50/50 about induction/air filters. Heres a few snaps of most recent stuff. When the exhaust arrived I also polished with brasso before fitting as was easy enough whilst it was off.
