  1. Wotcha and welcome Ben - We have a few fozzie owners on the forum with vehicles in various states of tune, now I have never owned a Fozzie but being on this forum a bit you pick up the odd nugget of information. As I understand it the Fozzie and the Impreza share the same basic layout which is supported by the fact you can get STi versions of both so in theory if you were to invest the funds you could have a 500bhp closed deck block 2 bar of boost running hay bale carrying workhorse of snarling death. Check out Farmerpugs thread he took a similar approach to what I believe you are looking at - a sub grand workhorse, but at that price be prepared to put some wrench time in. Fuel economy - its all a trade off, if you go NA then it will be less power but also less fuel consumption, the turbo versions use more fuel but dont feel as laboured under load - if you wear a diving boot when you drive the mpg is obviously going to be lower but the smile will be bigger - its all relative Im sure Stants and the other Fozzie owners will be along in a while to contribute but feel free to get stuck in with the forum
  2. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to get stuck in we are a friendly lot ;)
  3. look at power to weight ratio as well as BHP - what can you change to make your car lighter?
  4. Wotcha and welcome chum - great looking motors, any more photos of your track machine??
  5. All the hard work done - easy miles from now on ;)

  10. very very nice - if only :)
  11. Wotcha and welcome
  12. Not a fan of the car you would be going to just didnt enjoy it at all - as a second car option I wouldn't bother just have your work runaround and run the single car. hammer the phone / insurance companies for a lower quote, 1200 there must be some wiggle room
  13. dropping the engine in is just the start, going around corners and stopping is another story. there are chassis differences between the WRX and STi Hatchs and the relative bhp / weight ratios are small compared to what you are proposing. go for a wrx or Sti - they are designed and built for the more powerful engine
  14. Its the link - try this http://www.jperformance.co.uk/subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-gda-gdb-catback-cat-back-exhaust-system-p-872.html
  15. Wotcha and welcome - there are a few more seasoned members on here so feel.free to jump right in
  16. Wotcha and welcome Neil, great cars the P1 and TypeR. Off top of head think the RA has 4 doors but I also believe there are mods like alloy bonnet to make it lighter, Im on tapatalk so cannot get the links to a Web site which details differences, it is in a couple of threads already if you search the impreza part of the forum. Someone else will probably fill in the gaps but if not ill dig it out later
  17. Not at all, you young thruster you :)
