  1. Those rims look top drawer - cant go far wrong with a bit of Italian exotica
  2. Wotcha and welcome Dave - it is indeed a great feeling owning & driving a Subaru All friendly on here so feel free to get stuck in :)
  3. Jay762 posted a topic in Junk Room
Just watched 2d version (not a big fan of the 3d thing) - petrol head heaven, loved it. There are elements shot like the original Mad Max, the score is awesome, very dramatic and the whole thing is a full on stunt fest! There are also little nods / references to the second movie in the trilogy - would see it again tomorrow :)
  4. Wotcha and welcome - looking forward to following your project thread ;)
  5. Some photos may help the sale
  6. I do use gloves myself for a lot of things so dont use as much as I used to but still get through quite a bit, probably 3 pots a year. So do you think people dont know what it is as they use an alternative or that they are just not getting dirty?
  7. Now that is interesting - so as a brand reinforcement exercise that would be good
  8. Hmmm there was supposed to be a poll thing here but hey ho not to worry just post in response please
  9. All - I was sat next to a chap who works for a company that manufactures soap and he mentioned swarfega was one of their brands - anyhow after chatting I mentioned if he had thought of getting some classic styled t shirts done with the logo - like the type you get in the moto legends catalogue - as I said I would buy one of those, such a fan of the product was I. He said he had sat in many marketing meetings and had discussed the topic but was intrigued that someone without being prompted had mentioned it. I then mentioned the forum and the type of members we had (happy to twirl a few spanners and generally have a go at stuff) and I would generate a quick straw poll and feedback So what do you all think? Answer - simple: Yes No Dont like brand or product I will be feeding the results back to the company so the more contribution we get the better. Cheers Jay
  10. Wotcha and welcome - quite a few members for your part of the world - check out the vids of the highland run - looks great
  11. Oooo better have a look :o/
  12. Wotcha and welcome - This could be a dodgy earth it could also be a partially broken connection. Unfortunately if it was me I would have the dash apart checking the loom routing and the connection into the ECU making sure no dodgy or broken connections - as the dash works normally sometimes I would say that is fine but the supply to it is corrupted somehow. A member recently had electronic gremlins and traced it to the connector block plugging into his ECU. sorry I cant be more specific
  13. Wotcha and welcome- very tidy motor that feel free to get stuck in with the forum we have a varied membership with quite a few choice modifications on peoples motors
  14. Cheers matey... No it will still be a hatch - missus doesnt like the saloons - but I cant complain I do like the hatch myself and when the classic project comes along she wont be that interested ;)
  15. Donation made - but just read Steves post so might approach you again before you place the order ;)
  16. Its been a while since the we had to let our STI go but this weekend we put a deposit down on a replacement. Looking to collect a 2.0 rx hatch automatic with 156bhp of snarling death under the hood this weekend :) It has about 38k on the clock in dark grey metallic with alloys and rear parking sensors will be fitted before collection. In answer to the question why go from a 330bhp manual to a 156bhp auto, well here is the plan... The elderly inlaws have an 1988 auto Camry which is still going but will need quite a bit of money spent in the not too distant future, being the still very independant / proud pensioners they are actually helping them out takes a bit of cunning - the idea is we get this motor for a short while then pass it on to them when we get something a bit tastier. That being said it hasnt stopped me compiling quite a shopping list... Stainless steel exhaust system (thanks GMI!! http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/14125-gminsites-wrx-hatch/#entry86741) Wheel refurb Continentals all round PIAA wipers Subaru boot liner Subaru rear fender guard LED lights STI centre console (as it has a slide closure for the cup holders) Mirror closure module and loom Carbon splitter S.O.C stickers and mudflaps to put them on... trying to justify a strut brace - (again thanks GMI) Also the dash only has a fuel guage tacho and rev counter no temp guage so was thinking about an STI / WRX pod conversion as I dont think guages down the a pillar will win the inlaws over Will upload some photos as soon as we get it home :D
  17. They both do same job - think it is just a matter of preference over noise made
  18. Still does sound like leak somewhere particularly as you have it running fine, soapy water way to go for leaks
  19. Not a fan of this type of enforcement particularly when you pass seemingly miles of roadworks and no-one actually there!!
  20. Really useful link that - nice one :o)
  21. Wotcha and welcome Greg - just enjoyed reading you other thread, will be following that one :)
  22. Looking great - clearly you have done your homework with what mods will work best for the track ;)
