  1. Wotcha and welcome - love that colour we have had another member recently join with a hawk in that colour he is looking at changing the wheels, yours shows what it would look like with the Prodrive option - nice
  2. lovely stuff - what I like about these type of motors are a lot of them have specs that can be copied so you can have the same performance trim and handling etc albeit without the badge but all the benefits
  3. Hi some photos would probably help with the sale - particularly given the description good luck
  4. Wotcha and welcome Nick - you should get a serious piece of kit for that money potentially a widetrack STI blobeye - but that may mean waiting for the right one to come along, the one thing I will say is be prepared to travel for the right car. Those cars both look tidy on the face of it Prodrive packs vary dependant on model but can involve a remap, back box, high flow filter, possibly a high flow fuel pump, uprated antiroll bars. They were dealer options in UK but you can buy the packs yourself to modify an original and then get a remap a couple of widetracks as examples - the black one would have some wiggle room on cost http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-SUBARU-IMPREZA-STi-v9-Spec-DCCD-WIDETRACK-www-powerplay-uk-com-/231437348430?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item35e2bdae4e http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2004-SUBARU-IMPREZA-STI-PPP-305bhp-WIDETRACK-AMAZING-CONDITION-/111539135670?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item19f84024b6 and if you are going to Cheshire motors you'll get to check this one out as well http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2005-Subaru-Impreza-2-0-WRX-STI-Type-UK-WIDETRACK-DCCD-STAGE-1-333-BHP-/251687698252?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3a99c17f4c
  5. I agree with that - could have been a far better outcome for all
  6. I cannot believe you started a thread and didn't have photos ready tsk tsk
  7. echo the others replace the motor is cheapest option - then you could rebuild your own as a project getting some experience on the way ;)
  8. Wotcha and welcome Karl - lovely motor that - great colour, I agree with the wheel change, those don't look to fill the arches very well - feel free to get involved with the rest of the forum and keep a camera handy for any work you do complete, we like a photo here :D
  9. Watched part two last night - I get the impression the number plate had little to do with it and was just the excuse for mob activity organised in advance.
  10. We checked the plate and it is indeed uk registered as the porsche it was on so whilst initially sceptical can not blame them for something that looks on the face of it to be unintentional - haven't watched part two yet.
  11. cant go wrong with either car - but the Scooby will be an easier day to day car as Stants recommended get a test drive in both and make your choice based on that
  12. Wotcha and welcome - quite a few members have second sets of wheels with winter tyres - depends if you have the storage for them, where it is a legal requirement in Germany for cars to be fitted with winter tyres, you can source 16inch steel wheels and winter hoops for about £500 shipped. For that money and to avoid accidental damage to my alloys I would get some. I didnt get on with all season tyres as I never found them good enough in either winter or summer scenario - too much of a compromise between the two - but then again that will always be subject to individual driving style
  13. Wotcha and welcome - awesome 21st birthday pressie - Stants covered the advice nothing to add there, lets see some photos when you get it ;)
  14. Wotcha and welcome - lovely motor you have there, sounds like a little cash investment will sort it for a fair few years to come
  15. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and wishing S.O.C all the best for 2015 have a good one all!!
  16. Thanks to the dealer for breaking down the pricing - appreciate you taking the time to do that - you may want to stick a name on next time (even if it is an alias ) as it makes it a little less formal. What I would say - sitting on the proverbial fence - a quote is a quote but the choice where to spend your money is ultimately yours but I am always interested in hearing about service provided by any supplier - main dealer or otherwise so please keep us informed of your outcome :)
  17. well the bar has been set quite high for subarus on the mountain, make sure you have an onboard camera with you - and keep it rubber side down ;)
  18. go for an earlier model and put a bit more aside for tyres ;) we get a discount at Adrian Flux, as a forum member try them for a quote
  19. Wotcha and welcome - hmmm titanium or carbon fibre rocker panels an option :D
  20. yup what Savage said would be my option as well
