As if the flooding Worcestershire isnt enough by us we had the bridge in Bewdley closed - not due to the rising water but some chap who decided he wanted to throw himself off it
  7. Great to hear - so all should be right with your motor in the not too distant future
  8. Mate they look the dogs danglies - looking forward to see them on
  9. Wotcha and welcome - I did wonder about the name put put it down to some form of evolving from one to another ;) but we are all about the cars on here - we have Alfa lovers , VW enthusiasts, Landy lovers + a few two wheel aficionados, common denominator being internal combustion so feel free to browse and get stuck in
  10. Wotcha and welcome - also check rear wheel arches for any minute signs of rust - there is a lip inside the arches that holds the crud check that is clear and doesnt have stuff sat on it
  11. Is it the 2.0 non turbo?
  12. Good luck - I hope someone will give it a good home and sort the repairs

Wotcha and welcome Seb - hopefully one of the classic experienced members will be along in a bit to advise
  14. That'll be your first mod then ;)
  15. If it is a dealer they should sort the whole advert out, spelling, pictures, correct spec - the lot
  16. Wayhey - great to hear!! - wind noise discussions have been had when it comes to the Fozzy some use deflectors around the side windows - I think Stanton was thinking about getting some
  17. I dont think so - going to look pretty sharp methinks ;)
  18. ahhh I see - does make sense if you can get a great deal and miltek exhausts are cracking pieces of kit aswell
  19. Awesome!!! What colour did you go for in the end?
  20. I'd missed that bit
  21. A quick mark one eyeball on brake fluid level and brake pad wear may indicate you are pressing full travel using all your fluid (due to pad wear ) and then just pressing the brake master cylinder piston against the back of the master cylinder housing
  22. first place I would check is your pistons, its time consuming but an easy job, take each caliper off in turn and pump the brakes, each piston should extend if it doesn't push the extended piston back in and block off with a piece of wood then pump the brakes again with the aim of freeing the piston, once free clean off any debris and push back into the caliper once clean - I managed to doe this with fingers in my hatch so no specific tools were needed other than a rag and some auto sol to polish (although some may argue this is too abrasive for the finish on brake pistons)
  23. gotta love the original bug - awesome!! - We have some members putting Impreza units into VW campers - allegedly they tried it in a bug but the aerodynamics gave out at 110mph and they flipped ;) By the way the Audi is being tweaked I feel a convert is on the cards, particularly if he has spent time with the flat four of the VW - just needs a little intro to some Japanese design + a little Brit tinkering the possibilities of an easy 400+ bhp and more boot space may be too much to resist :)
  24. That is a sump baffle plate, it stops the oil sloshing about improving the feed to the pickup, minimising the chance of oil starvation and also going up one side of the engine or the other under hard cornering
  25. It was Wagonwheels - check out this wee beasty for some inspiration 328BHP and 378lbs of torque http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1842-newbie-saying-hello-and-pics/ Has he been tweaking as I thought the s3 had about 280 - 300bhp with something like 280lbs of torque - so I think it wont be long before you could show him a clean set of mud flaps - or dirty in fact if you fancy a bit of rally crossing Farmerpug style http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rOa_i4z3rU#t=0
