  1. you could make it look like a two door with a kit from ABW http://www.abwmotorsport.co.uk/#!classic-impreza/c1yc2
  2. Petrol head to the end - something I aspire to
  3. A familiar story in a lot of companies - the profit not the product becomes the focus
  4. looks like a breather, could you replace the old panel with the new or have it going to atmosphere via a pipe and filter or collector tank. example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RACE-RALLY-DRIFT-TRACK-KIT-CAR-TURBO-ROUND-SQUARE-OIL-CATCH-TANK-BREATHER-CAN-/181335275494?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item2a386cb7e6
  5. Sorry - struggling to enlarge the images - just times out
  6. yup that would do me - completely awesome over the top for tootling down the shops, possibly less stickers but taht is the type of gold I like for rims - not too orange :)

  8. Sorry to hear that, It is best to do both but at least if you did have them done you know it would all be sorted
  9. are you looking at another Subaru or going for something different? Good luck with the sale
  10. Sorry to hear about your father Nick - good luck with the sale
  11. I wouldnt say it is an upgrade if it doesnt improve performance, modification not if it is a replacement / copy but in different materials for a standard part that you can no longer get... but bottom line Im not your insurance provider so probably best to ring them - I wouldnt expect an increase in premium because of it and if that is suggested I would put your case to them
  12. This link contains details on different Subaru wheels so you may be able to get a different wheel with the same offset as your existing http://www.carlsalter.com/subaru-wheel-fitments.html
  13. no problem - start a new thread when you get the spares and commence your spanner twirling ;) you might want to get a fresh lot of 5.1 brake fluid and flush the system through completely whilst you are there. Sounds like you have a seized piston or two which would account for uneven pad wear and the chap changing one set at a time. get the caliper off and press the brake pedal, the pistons should move, if one moves and not the other get your old pads or a bit of wood and have the free piston wedge itself against them so it cant come out any further then press again to try and free the stuck piston. If you can get both extended you can clean and inspect which will help in the short term, longer term they may need servicing with new seals and possibly pistons as well. Not a complex job
  14. Looks good - was on fifth gear last year. Have used MSV for Bike track days and the setup is always pretty well organised, thing is though even though you are not supposed to time yourself on track days you can do if you are discreet... unlike my lad who found a nice spot to sit on the main straight at Brands Hatch half way up a grassy bank with stop watch immediately opposite race control :D when the marshal came down he was laughing about it because they said it was so easy to spot who he was timing as they watched his head move as I came round every lap
  15. depends on your insurer if its not performance enhancing I wouldn't worry, to me its like replacing brake discs, if it can be an improvement I would tell them
  16. Wotcha and welcome - great to have you onboard :)
  17. that must be just petrol engines as my 2002 diesel van didn't have one from the factory
  18. ooooh liking your thinking there chap ;)

  21. Evening all - we seem to be having some issues with slow page loads on the forum, unfortunately this seems to be intermittent could I ask any members experiencing slower than normal service to add the following in a post, hopefully we can see if this is widespread or isolated to a few device used: (eg phone, PC, MAC etc) browser used (eg Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari etc) thanks Jay
