  1. that will be near as dammit - might be the odd hose which has gone a bit brittle and cant take it but that can be sorted quite easily
  2. they may feel slow but check you speedo as they can be deceptive at high speed - you dont realise just how quick you are actually going
  3.
  4. For peace of mind Id go to a performance parts supplier - not necessarily get 2.5gees worth of HKS triple plate but something branded which the company supplying will stand by - not used them but Exedy appear to be popular
  5. That DA is the type of thing Miggs recommended to me when we were chatting - if you are going to wax I dont know as you need the gloss protection also if you are looking at the DA you could look at some poorboys swirl remover prior to the polish, this would have a different waffle pad to the wax applicator / buffer Actually I think poor boys do a SSR which sorts the polish layer as well... here you go http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111107311549?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

  10. Awesome looking vehicle - liking the STI pink detail ;o)
  11. as modern diesels have cats as well if the rest of the engine is in good nick you wont be throwing out high emissions
  12. If the DPF is the show stopper but you really want the rest of the package get an ECU mod and remove it completely??
  13. Thats the way to do it - steady away and you will soon get the hang of it, too much too early could end in a hedge ;)
  14. echo Bitman that's the simplest approach as you will probably be able to get a harness adapter for the centre console unit so no messing about with connectors, soldering and heat shrink
  15. dependant on how you go with the tyres it may get worse - skinny hard tyres = low grip but low rolling resistance / friction so less power needed to move that means higher MPG super sticky wide tyres means high grip, great performance but lower mpg as it takes more power to deal with the increase friction
  16. yes - !Removed! frustrating that is - I use T bar sockets on them most of the time to try and avoid that
  17. yup jubilees dont seem to be as robust as they did years ago, metal seems softer so you cant get them screwed up as tight
  18. front shocks and diff still look like a heater unit to me??
  19. Yup good on you getting stuck in - looking to do the same thing with my lad
  20. That wasn't your driving - possibly just a dodgy connection but I would check all secure as Gambit suggested - given that I would also check the other connections under your bonnet
  21. Was just going to post what Ash has stated - increasing airflow doesnt get you more boost - just allows you to increase the amount of air fuel mixture into the cylinders - to do that you need a mep or tweak the turbo - ideally both
