    Wrapping

Good idea I think, would be interested to see how it turns out.
  2. Are you the guy with the baby and your Mrs (Black Impreza with no tail). If so good to meet you and wife enjoyed having a chat with your Mrs. Cheers.
  3. Lovely show and great to meet so many of you. Whole family enjoyed it. Drive back was fun as well, was a tad naughty on a few occasions. She can shift!! Kind regards all.
  4. Mine was clean yesterday, it will be dirty by the time I get there tomorrow lol.
  5. Should have also said I am after some headlights for the car aswell. Again, not sure if any deals to be had at the show. I thought not reference clutch but worth a shot. Found this one so far > http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Subaru_Forester_2.5_2006/p/car-parts/car-transmission/clutch-and-associated-parts/clutch-kit/?641802140&1&599cfe295ce9a112ab19084c0bfe31c61742c0c2&000069 Appreciate the input.
  6. Hi all, I knew the Forester clutch was high when I got it and needs replacing soon ish. Just wondering best places to try for a 5 speed 05 Forester push clutch. Cheers. Phil. PS. Would there be any deals at the Japshow tomorrow? Cheers. Phil.
  7. Welcome to the forum. Good bunch on here.
  8. Just picked the Forester up and brought her home. I like the sound of the dump valve as never heard it on the Impreza as original panel air filter. One thing I noticed. If I was kinda accelerating and the turbo cutting in as foot down to a medium level it would make a kind of sshhh noise. I take it this is the turbo kicking in and or spooling. When doing this no noise comes out like when putting the foot right down and then when releasing the turbo dumps. Sorry for terminology as do not understand turbo and such things. Just wanting to check. Hope I am making some sense.
  9. I will be in my Forester for its maiden voyage. Requires a little body tidying but still in good enough condition for the stand. Looking forward to it.
  10. I admit its not to far but 57 miles from me. Anything more than an hour with the kids is long ish for me. Takes about an 1 hour 20 mins from me. I will be getting there between 8 and 8.30.
  11. Tickets on Japshow website say £12 online advance plus £2 booking fee however when you go to the site for booking and paying the tickets it says £16??? Easily confused. Also, Gambit do you have the spare pass?
  12. Lovely, how much will the pass be for the car to be on the stand? Would I pick it up there or what? All the questions, I feel like a royal pain in backside.
  13. Lovely, picking the forester up tomorrow. A few issues like power steering belt to change before the show which would be nice. Anxious taking it on a 120 mile round trip a couple of days after buying it lol. Am sure I will be there though as sounds ace and you seem like a great bunch.
  14. Lol, lovely thanks Stants. Crap day at work and drinking to much. So I will be able to get out ok and will not be stuck? Sorry again, need reassurance as new to this sort of thing really and want to be right.
  15. I don't mind driving in the dark but as the bulb keeps blowing I don't want more points of fines lol. I know you are only taking the mick but hope you understand. I like to be on the stand though as more social and part of the club. Just needed to be sure could get out at 4pm ish as sometimes I know you can get stuck in. If this is all ok with you I would like to come and will order the tickets for me and the wife and take the pass. Do I owe anything for the pass? Hope I am making sense. Had a few drinks already.
  16. So it would not be ok to leave the stand at 4pm? Sorry, just to be clear.
  17. There is a lot of moisture in the light which I think is the cause. This is the Forrester btw not Impreza but want to bring Forester as better for whole family and long ish distance. I think it blows when turned on. That's the reason I would want to leave around 4pm and not sure if this is ok if on the stand. If this works out ok I will be there if Forester is acceptable.
  18. What are the times? Keep getting a blown headlight bulb so don't think I should travel in the dark. Many thanks both.
  19. Ooh tempted but just don't know as Mrs at work. Would I be able to be on the stand? How would Mrs get in if only one pass. Both children under 13 so that's a plus. What are the times? Under 2 hour drive from me which is good.
  20. These tickets seem to fly fast as I was interested in coming. Would have been me, the Mrs and 2 kids. Thinking to short notice now as well and busy weekend. Would have probably made changes to accommodate the day though. Enjoy all.
  21. No worries, like to get involved in local ish (sub 2 hours) meet ups. I am a family man though so day time and weekends are best for me. Will keep an eye out. Got a choice between Impreza and Forester now though!!
  22. Shame this is not on a weekend otherwise I would have travelled over if it was during the day time. Enjoy!
  23. I loved it to be honest. The Impreza feels faster and sounded louder but this was more comfortable and refined but at the same time fast enough. We drove it on country roads and it handled well. Both Tim and I had a good few miles out of it. It was easier for my fat knackered body to get out of as well lol. I still love the Impreza but have agreed with the Mrs to sell it and maybe one of the other cars so we are left with 2. In hindsight I should not have purchased a classic impreza but newer imprezas were more expensive by miles. Nothing against the Impreza at all but this is better in everyway for my uses. Added bonus is the car is fitted with some lovely component speakers, an amp and tasteful sub.
  24. Hi Matt, assume you got hold of Tim? He mentioned you today. Well we went to take a look and ended up agreeing a price for it. Very nice motor. In need of a little bit of work such as clutch (not just yet but high), headlight unit, power steering pulley, electric window motor and passenger wing mirror motor. Got the car for a decent ish price considering faults. Needs a good clean and polish etc. Tim was a diamond. Gave it a thorough check over which took best part of an hour plus my normal checks and the Mrs etc. Got to sort out money, insurance and then collect. Appreciate all the comments from you guys. A little extravagant considering just got the Impreza but a real gem I hope.
  25. Cheers everyone for thoughts. I am booked to have a look tomorrow afternoon with the Mrs and Tim. Main issue is the headlamp and blowing bulb as MOT is up in November so does not give long to source one and sort it. Always cautious when being sold so close to MOT expiry. Just as well taking an expert. He is adamant he would prefer to keep rather than drop price which is fair enough. Would the window tints be from new or aftermarket?
