  1. Full boost by 3.5 K is very nice! I used to have full boost at 3K on my old Toyota and that was superb! On my T/Tb I only said 4k because it says by the description, I've no boost gauge as of yet, so can't really comment first hand. I also have EJ20G As far as I know EJ20G is a pretty good engine and is actually an Impreza Engine - please correct me if I'm mistaken? Bucket-style HLA EJ20G usage[edit] Impreza WRX 92~96. Impreza WRX Wagon 92~96 Impreza WRX STI 93~96 EUDM Subaru Impreza Turbo 94~96 Power output ranges from 220 PS @ 6000 rpm and 260 Nm for the WRX Wagons to 275 PS @ 6500 rpm and 319 Nm for the WRX STI Version II. Engines can be identified by coil on plug with 1 M8 bolt per coil and valve covers with 4CAM 16VALVE and horizontal lines above the plug holes. Generally these engines all have the slanted intercooler. Some engines may not have HLA buckets but solid buckets with shims underneath. These engines also feature lighter valves, the intake valves are marked INKO and the exhaust valves are marked EXKO. The standard HLA valves are I252 and E283 respectively. All WRX Wagon engines and automatic sedan engines came with a TD04 with 90 deg elbow, all manual WRX sedans including STI versions had a TD05 with 90 deg elbow The list is certainly missing our Foresters but being JDM I won't be surprised -) I've just had a read here and a lot of people say good words about EJ20G http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1729862&page=3
  2. 240 PS is the STI forester also -) Mine however is listed 250 PS and I have full boost by 4k RPM! What is your full engine code by the way? This info is taken from the website below. Here is where you can find your model. Mine is an Auto by the way! http://www.subaru-forester.info/specs/1997.2/28147/
  3. Right, 220bhp??? I though these are 250 bhp from the factory? At least my model, not sure about S/tb? What's the part number for RCM fuel pump? Is it better than Walbro? How about noise? What was wrong with the stock one, or it just in case for the future increase?
  4. Thank you very much! That's appreciated. Have you heard of speedo sensor on the forester's by any chance? Is your car in MPH or KM by the way? If your mapped at 1.2 what turbo have you got and what other mods do you have? what's the total bhp? and WHP? better to see the dyno graph if you have one! Would be really interesting to see your setup!
  5. Did you get a chance to have a look for the Gasket(s) part number? What is one increase the boost on the actuator say to .85 would the fuel cut kick in? On my old starlet the standard boost on CT9 was .65 but could've been increased to .79 safely only at .8 the fuel cut would kick in -) And as far as I know for the TD04 running 1 bar is possible (at least some people were doing that on starlets, yes with TD04 -)))
  6. I don't plan to go for more power, I want to keep the car original and most reliable, I doubt I've managed to experienced even the factory setup as of yet. My gearbox is still playing up with the error code 25 - Еngine torque control signal And there is some hesitation from the gearbox, one day it's fine, the other it's hesitating with the HOLD flashing and this Engine torque control signal is there a sensor for that or something? Can someone advise, with so many impreza's around I don't believe that I'm the only one experiencing such problem... It could be something to do with the scoop (hole) and that the water gets in and goes through the intercooler and then on to the wires which are on top of the gearbox. I've noticed that on a good warm day there is no problem and often on a rainy day it's a lot worse... What is the standard boost by the way? And is that TD04L turbo by default on these models? I've noticed that I have an adjustable actuator by the way -) not sure if they were adjustable from the factory!
  7. A friend of mine watched this video and said that there was never 330 bhp Forester Factory Made, can anyone confirm that? He is asking for a link to prove that 330bhp factory made Forester was created, I'm unable to find one -) A lady clearly said 330 bhp, but was it modified??? As of the up pipe do you think it's the gasket or Do I have to replace the pipe as well? any idea of the part numbers for the gasket/nuts and whatever I would need for such job? Is it a common problem with the EJ20 engines???
  8. Wow, that looks really complicated -) Yes it looks like it's the UP pipe - here is the pics https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/NI7vr_XGESVtH8D2iVQ404AXrGmN51FMd0KEC3bPuHs?feat=directlink https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/wkQgZW0DUsbia4ME_9N2g4AXrGmN51FMd0KEC3bPuHs?feat=directlink What would you recommend to do? Remove the whole lot and have a look? Look for the STI up pipe as a replacement?
  9. Hey everyone! Family commitments and lack of time -) I fixed the clock that wasn't hard! It looks like now I have a problem with the blowing exhaust manifold or up/pipe or gasket now sure yet - what is the most common problems for these cars??? Should I replace the lot with the aftermarket bits? After a toyota this exhaust manifold looks very confusing to me - can anyone explain, with pics way it's designed and would that be difficult to replace the lot?
  10. Thank you mate! Does anyone know STANDARD fuel pressure for our cars? Can anyone measure their pressure? I feel like my car runs mega rich after I put a WRX fuel pump. I also feel petrol during the cold start from the exhaust pipe, but the smell is strong...
  11. That's a pretty good price for a brand new wheel... Some sets go way higher than that, at least £100 per wheel.
  12. If you really want them badly you can make me an offer, just PM me -) Also the postage won't be cheap at all ! They need a refurb and I would rather get another set, I need 2 sets of wheels actually -) both 16 inches. The wheels are decent 16 inch as well, but just not my cup of tea.
  13. A good wash! https://picasaweb.google.com/108629679967946639907/MySF5AfterAGoodWash?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCLGb5OWczZyzRg&feat=directlink
  14. -) No worries, just hope someone will find it useful. These are the Gearbox related error codes for SF5. I'm currently washing my car, as didn't get a chance to wash it for some time, well -) will put some pics up once finished!
  15. THe list of ALL codes - is not MY codes -) I just thought I put a list for someone who might need it in the future. I only have 1 error - code 25. I will check the earth tomorrow with the multimeter. And adding extra earth would be a good idea for sure. Thank you for your support.
  16. Great info. Thank you! Also, I finally found my problem with flashing HOLD. Also there is a diagnosis for the auto gearbox as well, self diagnosis, but my code was shown on an OBD scanner worth £2500 -))))) And the code is - 25 — Еngine torque control signal And I don't get this error at all times which makes me think it's a short somewhere or bad earth or the wiring is damaged somewhere... Here is the list of ALL codes - someone might find it useful. 11 — Duty solеnoid A 12 — Duty solеnoid B 13 — Shift solеnoid 3 14 — Shift solеnoid 2 15 — Shift solеnoid 1 21 — ATF temp sеnsor 22 — Atmospheric sеnsor (This is MAF sensor) 23 — Еngine revolutiоn signal (Detonation sensor?) 24 — Duty solеnoid C (The one which is responsible for the rear wheel drive -) 25 — Еngine torque control signal 31 — Throttle sеnsor 32 — Vehicle speed sеnsor 1 33 — Vehicle speed sеnsor 2 75 Incorrect gear changes. 79 Overheating of the gearbox. 81 Incorrect voltage supplied to the gearbox. 82 Incorrect solenoid voltage 1-2 solenoids 83 Solenoid voltage is too high 84 Incorrect solenoid voltage 3-2 solenoids 85 TCC Solenoid failure 90 TCC Solenoid incorrect voltage
  17. So if I remove it nothing bad will happen like Check engine light or other problem? I believe that belt is ONLY for the AC? is that correct? I might leave it as it is, I just don't like the Subaru climate control, as it's really weird - lets say if I want to put 22C instead of 25C - it turns on the AC automatically then - I absolutely hate that!
  18. thank you mate! Have you kept your AC belt by the way? I have no intention to use the AC, I wonder if I could just get rid of the AC belt?
  19. Oh Right, I have replaced the alternator and I have indeed seen some connectors out there -) Have you replaced the alternator on yours? they seem to be underrated for these cars?
  20. Thank you mate! I've noticed that I get bad MPG when the engine is cold, my guess is that the water temperate sensor might be playing up, also I need to find it first -) The reason I replace the MAF and Lambda is because I had error codes which are cleared now. Now I have code 25 which is missing on the list unfortunately, probably because it's related to the gearbox.
  21. Looks like a Re-Map was a good idea.... On average I get around 20 on the moorway and about 15 mpg in city at it's best... So I wonder what the problem is, considering that I have a brand new Lambda and MAF I would expect a better mpg... How about a MAP sensor? where is it located and have you replaced it in the past?
  22. What kind of MPG do you get city/motorway driving? I get around 200 miles per tank in city with many cold starts and traffic and around 350 miles per tank motorway driving.
  23. If you'll get me a PCV part number, that would be fantastic. I think it's sensor related or some kind - code 25 is a mystery still, but possible outcome - engine torque control signal - didn't know that there is such sensor, but that would explain why I floor the accelerator and nothing happens...
  24. ANY IDEA of code 25?????????? Something related to the gearbox I think!
