  1. What was your error code?
  2. Oh and thank you for a tank gasket! What fuel pump would you recommend? I'm after something not very noisy, but capable of delivering the fuel without any problems -)))
  3. Any idea about code 25??? It's missing here - http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/2366-Manually-Reading-ECU-Codes Replaced the Lambda sensor, MAF sensor, Alternator, ALL fluids - still have a problem - flood the accelerator and nothing happens, just slow acceleration as if I was just slightly touching the accelerator... Then I floor it again and it pull like a train then.... THE RPM is stable, no drop on idle.
  4. I don't plan any remap in the future, I'm happy the way it is -) Just want the car to be as reliable as possible. One moment I flood the accelerator and nothing happens at all, the rpm starts to slowly increase just a bit if I touched it lightly, but if I let it go and slam it again - there will be a punch and really good acceleration. The RPM on IDLE is stable - usually spark plugs and ignition leads will result to bad RPM jumping up and down as I've experienced in the past with Toyota I used to have. And it wouldn't pull that good either, I blame either fuel pump or some kind of a sensor, TPS? MAP?
  5. Do you know the part number for the PCV valve by any chance? The fuel pressure is important to find out for me, surely someone would have the idea, as I want to test the fuel pump. Also what is the fuel pump part number (or what kind of replacement would you recommend?) Thank you!
  6. Does anyone know what is the standard FUEL pressure on these cars? (With and without the VAC line) and what is the GOOD RPM on idle when the engine is COLD and when HOT? Where is the PCV valve located and how much are they?
  7. Yes the ECU has been reset, also I haven't done a lot of miles since then probably about 100 ish. THe HT leads looks like aftermarket ones and in very good condition, most likely has been replaced not long ago, blue colour. I don't know if the original ones are blue colour as well? Fuel filter has been replaced, but it was the aftermarket one!
  8. I use 98 ron fuel at all times. The plugs has been done before me according to the service manual. As I understand it's not that easy to access them even just to have a look at them, is there any special tools needed to do the plugs? Here is the link to Serial Number of the pollen filter for 97 T/Tb imported from Japan. https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Vbaaq09prgPvWKwB5bx9Us_Jfzl1cqQgeshTL2PyYkw?feat=directlink
  9. OK Guys! I replaced MAF, Lambda and found a Pollen Filter! Still have some kind of hesitation during hard acceleration???
  10. The pollen filter advised - does NOT fit my car - it's too small and too thin for my car... http://catalog.mann-filter.com/EU/eng/catalog/MANN-FILTER%20Katalog%20Europa/Cabin%20Filter/CU%201526 Can anyone advise on another filter please?????
  11. Ok thank you mate! It can be found used on Ebay a lot cheaper than that -) As of Lambda - great link, appreciate that!
  12. Puprle 22680 AA280 - A36-613 R80 What Lambda do you use for Forester? anyone got a part number?
  13. OK .I've done the diagnosis - the error codes 23 and 32... 23 is MAF, what is 32??? Lambda?
  14. Any idea if these wheels will fit my forester - this is also for Subaru, but Impreza...
  15. Great answers here! So if I plug in the black ones into the green ones it will activate a test mode? That's pretty interesting, I wonder what would be the procedure for the gearbox... Another question is - when you do diagnostics on the computer which car shall the mechanic choose, as there is no such models -) would it work with the Impreza? and if yes what model as there are a few of them!
  16. Did it fit in the end? Why on earth make 2 different filters for the same car? How much was the filter?
  17. Anyone to the questions above? Do you know the part number for the pollen filter anyone? My car hasn't got one, but I want to put a new one -)
  18. Oh thank you very much. Also the first picture doesn't work -((( so not sure what connectors I should use -) Is there a similar guide for the auto gearbox codes as well?
  19. No idea to be honest, but at night I never use them, as the standard fog lights are way better -) I think it's rather a good looking feature, not very practical one... Oh and do you know how to read the check engine codes?
  20. Not really, may be they would be useful combined WITH the standard fog lights at the same time, but on their own they're not very good. Also bear in mind that I haven't used them much... I would rather link them with the full beam, that would help for sure then -) Put it this way, I wouldn't drive just with these lights, without the headlights at all, even at slow speeds.
  21. Well the secondary fog lights are more for the look as they really don't do that much. The wiring is linked to the standard fog lights there is the same button to turn them on and the separate button FOG SELECT where I can choose which fogs to switch on, but they don't work all at the same time...
  22. I've read that it's important to choose the correct oil if there is an LSD gearbox and diffs, and I do have an LSD, also not sure if all the axles or just front of rear... 75/90 - synthetic or mineral and what brands???
  23. You can find many european brands as well like Bosch, I'm not saying that it's better than OEM but 10 times cheaper and I'd rather change it more often, then keeping the original one for 10 years -) What's important in my opinion is a good oil, especially or the gearbox and differentials hence the question above -)
  24. Why Kill the car? I always used an aftermarket fuel filters, I can't justify paying a fortune for an original fuel filter, I'd rather change an aftermarket one every year! What kind of OIL do you recommend of the gearbox and for the differentials????
