  1. The Bay sometimes doesn't sell brand new (same year manufactured) tyres. They sell 1-2 year old tyres, which are cheaper. Yes they're all brand new, but the tyre does age over time even if it's not used. Your choice though -) You might get lucky and will get a good one! Try Toyo tyres, I wouldn't touch their Summer tyres (they're OK, but not the best), but for the winter these are the best for the UK climate as they're decent in dry conditions and superb in WET. Where is a lot of winter tyres have issues in dry conditions (by issues I mean they either wear out quickly or don't grip well). If I you lived in Norway I'd recommend to get Nokian tyres for example, but they barely see dry tarmac during the winter season.
  2. Replied above -)
  3. You DON'T need the V speed rating for sure. I don't think they manufacture such winter tyres to be honest. Can you possibly imagine doing such speed in harsh conditions like snow or heavy rain? I went with H rating Toyo Snowproxes - stick with them and keep them till March. Even H rating is good enough for most drivers. The tyres are very good, been using them for years, also they're directional, so has it's downsides, but overall they last very long (depends on the driving style). Another thing to mention I wouldn't keep the winter tyres longer than 4-5 years (even if plenty of Thread) as the rubber hardens and they don't handle well in wet conditions. I personally have to drive in snow/ice in the winters in North Europe and I replace my winter tyres usually every 3 years. The reason you have V speed rating stated is because your car is capable of such speeds therefore the manufacturer by law must state such rating. If you don't do 150 mph, then you can stick with "lower level" tyres depending on your speed habits, I usually go with H in the summer and winter, which is way above the UK speed limits anyway.
  4. Talking about the winter tyres here is a 5% off code -) for the winter tyres, they have one of the lowest prices in the country anyway, so with 5% off that would be a real bargain. Your code* is: RDUKCW37 FROM 11th - 18th SEPTEMBER 2016 mytyres.co.uk
  5. Is that possible? Is it safe? Here is some info http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f77/3-pin-alternator-2-pin-car-159953/
  6. I always highly recommend winter tyres to anyone. They're not just for snow, but also for.... WATER. And we have plenty in the UK during the winter months. Look for Toyo Snoproxes at mytyres.co.uk - VERY good tyres even in extreme winter conditions like -30C driving. The thread is about 10mm, so they last for a long time and ideal for floods and rainy seasons + occasional snow/ice.
  7. so the same kits as on the links provided?
  8. OK I'll go for this suspension as well then -) Did you get just the standard suspension or their improved version? Also do you have shocks at the rear separate from the springs or both at the same time like in Front? http://www.pedders.co.uk/subaru-forester-sf-ezifit-front-suspension-kit_p31236863.htm http://www.pedders.co.uk/subaru-forester-sf-ezifit-rear-conversion-kit_p31236862.htm
  9. How does your suspension perform in terms of COMFORT on BAD roads? Does the car jump like on the coilovers. do you have feeling like you're sitting on the bench when driving?
  10. I had a TOYO front mount on my Glanza V - the longest possible route and it worked just fine the installation was terrible, with some cutting/drilling/skimming, but eventually it was fitted nicely and the difference was quite noticeable. However on the rainy day there wasn't much of a difference and if you just enjoy spirited driving once a day, with ocassional boost you might as well keep your car standard. As front mount is really more like a track use or heavy spirited driving -) And not I didn't have any lag, or it wasn't noticeable much, even though the route was about 10x times longer than the standard one.
  11. I haven't done it yet, but will be done pretty soon by my mechanic -) And here is the video I found on the youtube, lets hope someone will find it useful.
  12. ok thank you! Well the price looks very good, also they're stiffer than standard (according to their customer service) so that's great for fast driving, but not that great for off-roading...
  13. Thank you mate. So how is pedders? Stiffer than stock? Will it survive my off-road?
  14. Is that the one??? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TEGIWA-BRAKE-STOPPER-FOR-SUBARU-IMPREZA-GC8-93-00-/401171359840?hash=item5d67ad2860:g:lnsAAOSwHoFXsfdB Also what was the anti-roll bar you recommended? And can you advise in regards to suspension? Have you replaced yours? or shall I look for used in good condition as I believe many people went for coilovers?
  15. OK thank you everyone. You saved me a lot of hassle!
  16. I think the 2.5 Litre will fit, at least the gaskets are the same -) I believe I would need the bolts as well, but so far didn't find any kits with bolts. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-STI-FORESTER-LEGACY-EXHAUST-MANIFOLD-GASKETS-KIT-EJ20-/201474788877?hash=item2ee8d54e0d:g:MtAAAOSwwE5WWVlA 2 genuine Subaru Exhaust Manifold Gaskets suits: EJ20 engines 1992~2009 EJ25 engines 1992~2009 EJ22T, EJ20G, EJ20K, EJ205, EJ206, EJ207, EJ208, EJ255, EJ257
  17. Yes that's exactly the one! It's next to map sensor, doing nothing -) So can I just leave it there as is? Where did you get the brake stopper? Is that cusco?
  18. http://www.ebay.com/itm/02-07-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-STI-EJ20-EJ25-Stainless-Manifold-Header-Up-Pipe-Exhaust-/371441928076?fits=Make%3ASubaru&hash=item567baa078c:g:IRYAAOSwQTVV-j9c&vxp=mtr
  19. Randon ebay search gave me this link - where they sell the same manifold for both 2.5 and 2 Litre, also older models are not listed, but the up-pipe from 2005 is the same as 97... There is a cheap OEM manifold for sale, but it's 2.5 Litre, so I wonder if that would fit - that one has the place for the lambda sensor, so all I would have to do is to relocate my lambda to the manifold.
  20. A pic would be great, as I have a white connector next to MAP sensor which is not plugged in to anything.... DOES anyone know if the 2.5 Impreza Exhaust manifold would be bolt on for the 2,0 litre? I looked from the top and bottom and don't see a sensor out there. Thank you!
  21. My exhaust is not standard! I believe i only have 1 lambda which is on the downpipe after turbo can be accessed easily from the the top. Since I want to put the OEM up-pipe with the CAT, I will have to relocate the lambda to the ehxaust manifold BEFORE the up-pipe - at least for some time, till I'll be able to fabricate a good quality up-pipe, but that will take time and it's best to have a cat for the MOT time as well, which is very soon!
  22. Oh and since it's a lambda where does it go under the bonnet? Can I have the picture please so at least I could check under the bonnet and try to find the cable?
  23. I believe it's the same for the impreza/foresters, really. I doubt there is any change, most subaru are the same to be honest as I read more and more about these cars. Can you please confirm that your picture is showing the lambda in the same location as my picture above, right next to Up-pipe and there are bolts as well? Can you see this sensor from under the car or do I have to take the wheel off??? I don't think I have this lambda on my car, but I will check. If I don't have it in order to install a CAT in the pipe I will have to move the original lambda which is on the downpipe to the headers like on the picture above as it must be before the CAT. The header on my picture above - in the description it says - New genuine Subaru Impreza STI/WRX 2.5L front right hand exhaust manifold to fit vehicles 2004-2007. Part number: 14010AA131 Do you think it would fit for a classic impreza? (my forester). OR 2.5 Litre have different fitment/dimensions?
  24. And this big hole on the left - for the Lambda I believe? Is this bit where you connect the up pipe just next to the big hole on the left?
