BEST ROAD COILOVERS
HoodedLime replied to JackGriff2010's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
They have 33-point adjustment, I have mine set in the middle and I don't think it really is harder than it was on STI shocks and Eibach springs. -

Try that: turn ignition on, press remote button once, press 6 on alarm keypad, turn ignition off

BEST ROAD COILOVERS
HoodedLime replied to JackGriff2010's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
In that price range you have Tein, BC, HSD and Yellow Speed Racing. I fitted Yellow Speeds to mine a few weeks ago. Went with them because they have wider adjustment range, pillowball rear mounts as standard and a few months longer warranty than the rest of them. So far I'm really happy -
Is this suspension standard?
HoodedLime replied to Rps's topic in Subaru Tyres / Wheels & Suspension
I fitted coilovers to mine a few weeks ago. Was looking at Tein, BC, HSD and Yellow Speed. Teins were the worst of them all. Read some bad reviews, they usually don't last very long. In the end went with Yellow Speed Racing as they have a bit more adjustment available and they are the only ones to have rear pillowball mounts on rear shocks as standard. So far I'm really happy with them :) -
I had over 20 cars in 10 years, not one longer than 6 months lol. First one to stay just over a year was my last one, BMW 328Ci. Really liked it. Now my current blob wagon just reached a year and a half in my ownership and it is not going anywhere anytime soon :)

You sure that from gearbox? Mine does that when I lift off the throttle but it's downpipe knocking badly on something

Eibach lowering springs newage - SOLD
HoodedLime replied to HoodedLime's topic in Subaru Parts For Sale
They came off 5x100 blob wagon. I was trying to find out about the fitment as a few others hawk owners are interested but I can't find definite answer. Most springs fit 2001-2007 but Eibach have different part number for hawkeye springs. I know sometimes all you need to change is top mounts but I can't say for 100% mate -

I'll be there with West Yorkshire Subaru Owners Club :) Say hello if you pass our stand :) -
You'd have to at least describe it better. Is it when you driving straight? Turning? On bumps? On acceleration or braking? Could be a few things. Broken spring, top mount, cv joint, loose caliper, driveshaft or even wheel, catching/loose arch liner, worn out/loose track rod end or bottom arm ball joint... Start there :)

Got full system for sale, just took it off my blob as I went custom. Originally it is from classic but as it is full system it will fit a newage as well, just some hangers won't line up, no biggie. Good used condition, scraped on the underside but looks nice when fitted. Full 3" all the way, mid pipe had resonator removed so it is loud. Would preffer collection or can drop off if not too far for beer money (West Yorkshire) although it is nicely packed and I believe postage would cost around £30 but without insurance. You are free to do a quote yourself and arrange own courier. Packs are: downpipe with back box: 117cm x 44cm x 35cm, 10kg. Mid pipe: 170cm x 15cm x 15cm, 6kg Had to be packed separately due to length. Price is £320 collected Thanks

Pioneer Touch Screen the one to get?
HoodedLime replied to cornish6544's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
2 big downsides of this unit are, it is chinese, although they have UK distributor and warranty, and the biggest problem was I had to trim my stereo surround to fit it, but again, my problem could have been mostly due to incorrect stereo fixing plates. I fitted hawk console but didn't get plates with it so had to modify my old ones :(- 5 replies

Pioneer Touch Screen the one to get?
HoodedLime replied to cornish6544's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
I had AVH-H5700DAB. Cost me £350 and it was utter rubbish. DAB reception was bad (but it may be my car's fault even tho I tried 2 different aerials) In over one year I had it they released 4 apps for it... Seriously... It was all show and no go lol, just couldn't do anything with it. It did have DVD but screen resolution was really bad. Sold it about 2 weeks ago. I just bought myself an Android unit and so far I really like it.- 5 replies
