  1. I have wrapped them in plastic bags and taped it up. Checked it a few times since and seems no moisture is getting in. Well, it won't last forever but should be ok for a year or two :)
  2. I was looking for them too but in the end just put new connectors on wires and used them without that plastic surround. I saw some on eBay but only from China
  3. Yes, I am. They can be funny sometimes, my request has been accepted on the 4th time lol
  4. Haven't decided where will I go yet. Went to Japfest 2 years ago but it was really boring
  5. Pretty sure, unless that 276hp on Scoobyclinic dyno was a mistake :D Anyway, I didn't mean to be negative about your advert. I do think we got that bug a bit cheap, was expecting to pay around £3k for one :)
  6. Really nice looking car, love the colour. Not sure on the price tho, my gf bought very similar spec bug recently with a few extras, like full leather interior for £2500. Good luck with the sale, hope you'll get decent price for it :)
  7. I'm pretty sure majority medium class up stereos have ability to work with steering wheel controls. Don't have them in my Impreza but my stereo is compatible (Pioneer AVH-X5700DAB). You can get adapter from ebay to fit: like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-Impreza-Forester-Steering-Wheel-Stalk-Control-Adaptor-Lead-CTSSU001-/270877764046?hash=item3f1192a9ce:g:FIIAAOSwL7VWniSo
  8. Definitely don't have to get the bumper off. I'm sure all you need to do is take grille off and there are 2 screws on inner side of each headlight. Could be one or 2 on top too, can't remember now but you should be able to spot them. Get the screws out and gently pull them out. Relays on my gf's morettes were full of water and just rotted inside. EDIT: What aucky said, there should be a wire going from one light to the other. Relay(s) will be on one of them. They were on passenger side on my gf's bug
  9. They are a real PITA. I had to sort out Morettes on my gf's bug recently. It started draining the battery and then lost high beam. I had to replace both relays that were fitted behind lights and check all the wires. Took me a few hours but got it sorted :) So have a look around the headlights, there should be at least one relay there.
  10. I see you're from Leeds, join Leeds Subaru Owners Club on FB, there are some cars for sale popping now and then. Me and my gf got ours from a Scoobynet member. Just saw a nice local hawk for sale yesterday, £6k...
  11. Yesterday I finished my first full tank after remap and new front calipers. Not sure which made bigger impact but my tank range went from 210 miles to 295 miles :) Well happy with that 😀 Oh and it was about 1/3 of motorway driving, a bit of commuting and over half of it was quick A-roads run with a few other Scoobs so plenty of boost ;)
  12. I used to do about 250 miles with full decat and remap. But one piston sized on my front caliper and it went down to barely 200 miles per tank 😐 I'm fitting new calipers tomorrow so should be a bit better. Not sure how much tho as I have now bigger injectors and VF35... 😁
  13. I had my E46 dipped. I did it myself and it wasn't very good job but not too bad either. I would only consider it if your paintwork looked really bad and get it off as soon as you can as it will start coming off on its own.
  14. I had exactly the same problem. But the speakers I've bought were slightly smaller. Thats what I did lol (I'm cheap):
  15. Not sure about Doncaster but if you can get to Bradford I recommend Richard Henry Motorsport
  16. Good info here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1170952
  17. Very low mileage blob STI, forged hawk STI maybe even forged hatch STI. Or get one cheaper and forge it yourself...
  18. No idea, sorry. Just last piece of advice, after you fit one, get the afr checked in the garage. They recommend car to be mapped for it but have it checked at least to avoid any fuelling issues
  19. Thats cheap, I paid for mine £100 a few weeks ago... Good luck :)
  20. It shouldn't. There is already a hole in the wing behind standard airbox. So your induction kit would need a long pipe and an actual filter to be fitted on the other side of that hole
  21. Well, you can always try one. I don't really know any particular ones to recommend but I guess general advice is to get best one you can afford and make sure its some good brand :)
  22. Our air boxes are apparently very good so unless you have big power mods just get yourself cotton panel filter and it will breathe better :) I will be buying one myself this weekend, Cosworth probably...
  23. Thats the reason I bought mine from Scoobyworld. But even tho it was easy to fit it still looks a bit rubbish :(
  24. Unless your is faulty or you wanna upgrade there is no point buying a different turbo. They all quickly get that tired look due to extreme temperature changes I guess...
