2007 WRX 2.5 hesitation at low rpm
They suffer badly with it mate, I had it on mine, I googled the cra p out of it and it's almost accepted that a lot of Hawks just do this, I changed loads of stuff chasing mine but in the end got a remap and that got rid of that particular problem was your comp test with a cold engine

little help
Yep, in the inner wing, your air scoop feeds it and then your airbox is pushed onto it

Mines a hawk too and it's mildly jerky when cold (before and after mapping)so I just keep it out of boost for a few minutes, that's mostly if I just start it and drive pretty much straight off, not so bad if warmed up a bit before drive, sounds like you need to load ecu defs into the logger, I'm shi te with computing but I managed it after much reading 🙂👍

Romraider is fine mate, I use it for logging mostly, but you can also add revs and take away timing with it ect, I've not got it set up to flash the ecu or anything like that, that's a whole different thing For logging you just need a vag com cable and the software from the romraider site and you can plug in your lappy and see exactly what the engines doing, you really will wonder how you got along without it

First timer. Hawkeye blew up on way home
have googled the cra p outta this and it seems that there are a lot of folks saying 12-14psi at hot idle is fine, although 20+ seems to be the prominent figure, specs are 14psi at hot idle, give or take oil viscosity used and temp, age of oil etc etc, all you can do is keep an eye on it really, did you find any bearing flakes or any signs in the sump when you removed it for the pickup

Update on my car
He's a !Removed! idiot tidgy, I'm done with being nice about it all, he mapped the car, messed it up and then just did a disappearing act with my £430 for 20 minutes work for about 5 dyno runs, the fuel trims are pulling fuel still, still getting pulled timing and going into limp mode, I'm in the process with barclaycard of trying to get my money back, I wouldn't like to say what's gonna happen if I bump into him tbh

Update on my car
Racedynamix or dynamics or whatever it's called, the more I'm speaking to people the more I'm getting the impression that he's done a poor job, a few runs on the dyno and no road time at all, it's my first time having a car mapped so I never knew it shoulda been road tested after the rolling road, I just assumed the fella knew what he was doing

Ooooh **** ! Fingers crossed mate but that coulda been why the engine let go the first time ? You mighta caught it in time before serious damage, defo keep an eye on the turbo now as that woulda suffered if oil pressure low, maybe that's why you had hesitation too as it probs couldn't run the avcs properly
