  1. Yep 👍 Yours looks great. Any upgrades?
  2. I am looking to replace the worn bushes on the front of my 2001 WRX uk300. Are powerflex bushes worth the extra money? Also is there a specific size or kit for the bugeye impreza?
  3. OK thanks for the help. Will it damage the new clutch in any way?
  4. I will double check with the mechanic. He did have to change the oil seal on the flywheel. Would you feel a judder in all gears if it was the flywheel?
  5. I've just fitted an exedy standard blue box clutch to my WRX and have noticed that in 1st or reverse it judders quite bad when the throttle is feathered. It is fine if you put a bit more throttle on, but is this normal? Thanks for your help.
  6. Thanks guys, that's a big help
  7. I am going to replace the clutch on my wrx with an exedy standard blue box clutch kit. I've noticed on some posts that it is recommended to replace the spigot bearing as well. Being a layman I have no idea what it is Is it worth replacing at the same time?
  8. Oh, not good. What clutch kit would you recommend buying?
  9. OK, so would you need to take the clutch out to repair it? If so would you recommend replacing the clutch at the same time?
  10. My 2001 wrx recently has developed a squeal when I lift my foot off the clutch in 1st, 2nd and reverse. As far as I know the clutch has never been changed and it has covered 83000 miles. There doesnt seem to be any noticeable slip from the clutch. Someone suggested it could be the gearbox but I havent noticed any leakage. If it is the clutch, what type would you recommend as a replacement, how much should I expect to pay for the change and is there a specialist in Glasgow you could recommend. Thankyou for your help
  11. Just got the sti lights fitted Thanks for the advice, I ended up splicing the wires. I noticed the glass is a bit misty looking on one of the headlights. Does anyone have any advice as to how to remove it. I didnt want to use a cutting compound in case the glass is tinted.
  12. Just attended a rally in Campbeltown, on the grounds of an airport. On the way out I snuck a quick blast on the runway.
  13. At work and saw a really nice impreza... then realised it was my wife driving by Never get tired of hearing the boxer burble.

  15. Hi Viki. Nice wheels, and I don't just mean the alloys Welcome.
  16. I have found autoglym bodywork shampoo is the best, I use ice wax for a quick finish if I don't have time. If I do, then autoglym deep shine over the the ice wax. Although I am looking at getting a clay bar for the ultimate finish.
  17. Looking at how to convert to sti headlights for my bugeye... it's harder than I thought
  18. Great looking bugeye, looks really sharp. I think gunmetal grey would finish it off perfectly.
  19. I am a newbee to Imprezas. I own a wrx uk300 and want to respect a limited edition car, but at the same time, improve the look and handling of the car in a tasteful way. Is a top mount strut brace crossing the line? Or would it be worth fitting one?
  20. Thanks for the advice I don't have the connector/plug for the main beams, but the side lights and indicators are the same connectors. Where could I get the right connectors/plugs from? Also do you have the contact details for the guy who sells the idiot kit... I think I may need it
  21. I own a 2001 uk300. I recently acquired sti headlights to fit to the car, only to find out that the wiring is different for the dipped headlight and full beam. The wrx has one plug that switches between dipped and full beam. The sti headlights are separate. Is there an adapter that could be fitted to the wiring loom? Or can I split the wires to get it to work?
  22. I have hit a snag with the bugeye sti headlights that I have bought. They dont fit straight onto a WRX. Is there a wiring loom adapter that I could fit? If so does anyone know where I could get them?
  23. Hey. I know it was a few years ago, but I was wondering if you could be of help. I've bought some sti headlights for my uk300, but not all the connecting sockets match. Did you have any hassle transferring yours over? Thanks for your help Kind regards David
  24. Hi. The uk300 car mats I have are not in the best condition, 15 years of use, I was wondering if anyone knows where I could find replacements? I've looked on ebay and a couple other sites but no joy. Thanks for the help.
