ej208 fuel lines leaking under intake manifold
I had a similar issue. You can find replacement hoses on amayama parts with the clips too. I used 5/16 fuel hose but the outer diameter was just slightly bigger which makes the job way more frustrating. Hope that's of help.

Anybody got any experience of ScoobyWorks Scotland?
I've tried to book my car in with them but they didn't ever get back to my repeated calls and messages so not impressed. I used hypertech and was extremely impressed with the workmanship. Hope that's useful.

Check engine light at high rpm
Thanks mate I will. I think it's a sign not to overload it but treat it with care.

Check engine light at high rpm
Hi everyone I was wondering if I could get some advice on what might be the best solution for a check engine light coming on briefly at high rpm before the gear changes on my auto legacy gtb bh5. I put the scan tool on it and it comes up as cam a sensor. Another problem, perhaps unrelated is that it only just passed emissions as it was high on CO. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Problem brakes
I know this might be a silly question but are the bleed nipples at the top of the caliper? I had this problem and I made that mistake in a rush.

Made a start on a list of jobs for my bh5 Legacy. Oil and filter change Auxiliary belts But most importantly... a clean and a wax. Loving the car so far.

I might be wrong but I know that the maf can also affect the air fuel ratio. It could be worth cleaning it.

Buying used Outback.....should I be alarmed?
Hi Jim and welcome. The outback is definitely a good option for Norway. Is it a petrol or a diesel? I would say there would be some potential issues if it’s a diesel with the dpf filter, but others will be able to give more detailed advice.

05' Impreza WRX advice please
Hi mate sorry to hear you are having problems. It’s good advice to do a sniff test. I have had a similar experience with a Mazda 6 where the gearbox has gone 2 months after buying it second hand… and it doesn’t drive as well as my Impreza 🙈

Engine oil grade
You can ask Opie oils for advice as they can give you the best option for your car and how you drive it/ any mods.

Fast Idle issue 2004 impreza
Hi Chris Sorry to hear you are having a bit of trouble. On my legacy I tried the throttle position sensor just to rule it out, but it sounds like your IACV isn’t closing. Was it brand new or second hand? It might benefit from a good clean with brake cleaner and some pipe cleaners if it’s a used part. I hope that’s of help.

Fluid capacities
The plugs are awkward compared to other engines but they are possible to change relatively straightforward. There are some handy videos on YouTube about it. If it’s running well at the moment I would wait until you get the remap and ask the tuner their advice, then it saves you some money and time. Have you had it long?

Fluid capacities
Good question mate. Most will normally go for the black ‘JDM’ Subaru filter which you can find in various places except Opie oils. Import car parts stock the filters at a fair price and they also will stock the higher quality spark plugs too which are the NGK Platinum plugs. If you are running stock power you should just need the standard heat range. Failing that, I would suggest a Mahle oil filter from Opie oils with ngk spark plugs depending on your budget. hope that helps.

Fluid capacities
Hi mate it’s a good plan to have. Opie oils is a good place to get all the fluids you need plus good advice on oil grade. I used to put 5w40 in my 2001 stock wrx. It takes a little over 4L. Diff oil is 1L and gearbox oil is 3.5 L if my memory serves me right. 75w90 for both. I use the red coolant purely because it lasts longer. I can’t remember the capacity but I just got a 5L concentrate and added deionised water. I think it takes about 5L. Dot 4.1 brake fluid is what you can normally use but I know some upgrade to dot 5.1 however it will need replacing sooner as it’s more hydroscopic. I hope that helps.

Power steering fluid leak gc8 2000 turbo
Great job mate, thanks for the pictures too. You’ve done a good job. Thats a shame about the brake fluid leak. Is it coming from the brake hose?
