  1. Just found this vin number decoder page looks pretty handy. http://www.cars101.com/subaru/vin.html Vin plate location.
  2. Tbh I had my bust run at the pod when I was staging building revs, dumped the clutch and the car was in neutral Being pretty embarrassed I just put it in 1st gear gave it a some revs and pulled away like booting it from the lights. Did a 13.6 qtr mile. That was in my 95wrx years ago.
  3. The JDM classic wrx was a higher BHP than the uk version. Only draw back was getting parts and insurance. Also as most were 2nd cars from japan they had some tasty mods, still there were also a fair few tasteless mods as well. If I recall correctly, most of the early type R,s and STI's were imports, wasn't till the bug eye 300 type uk we really started getting decent UK cars, all there was uptill then was the P1 which was basically a type R fettled by Prodrive.
  4. Jay do you know the paint code for the wheels? I had one refurb and its now a different shade :( eventually I want to replace them with these, Rays C28n 10 Spokes. Hubba Hubba.
  5. Here's a list I was given a few months ago. http://www.just-subaru.com/ http://www.japanparts.com/ http://www.avojdm.com/ http://prorracing.co.uk/ http://www.scoobyparts.com/ http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/index.php
  6. Deff agree that the classics are far better with a resto mod rather than a purist concourse car. Thankfully there are companies that do both the DB5/6 and the Etype they were featured on top hear a while ago. You can see the clip here http://cf.cdn.vid.ly/t0n4k8/mp4.mp4 Does require a lottery win to buy them though. Still ultimate dream cars.
  7. 2nded on the DM car, who wouldn't want it?
  8. Tbh it was a bit of a wash out, really bad weather so attendance what it normally was. It didn't help that we're not able to park on the grass, this meant no one saw the scoobs lined up and it didn't look like a meet was on. Three of waited around for about 45 mins that called it a day. Hopefully it won't rain so bad next month. They are every 2nd Sunday of the month.
  9. Now I've just been watching Ancient Aliens on the History Channel and I have come to the conclussion that I belive it's more likely that Ancient Aliens exist than God. controversial I know but thats the way I see it. edit: would help If I could spell religion.
  10. Heres mine, with all the classics they would have upgraded Brakes, Suspension, EFI ect. DB5 nuff Said E Type say no More! RS500 Whale tail. Mk1 Mexico 69 Dodge Charger, may even jhave the general lee paint work,......... maybe not F40 Its a Go Kart with big wheels!! 57 Chevy Bel Air, preff done by Barrys Speed Shop. (US Wrecks to Riches show on Discovery) 22B Ultimate Scoob for Me! 23 Window Samba VW Bus. MkII Jag
  11. Looks great but would deffo change it to red. Did you pay full whack for the pod? I know from looking for a pod myself that is the expensive one
  12. Yeah surrey Scoobies meet every 2nd Sunday of the month. There is also a breakfast meet for SES South East Scoobies 10th nov The White Hart, Netherfield. http://www.whitehartnetherfield.com/ http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/vbulletinforum/showthread.php?t=16640
  13. Nope even more confused than I was at the start. Also on Sky on demand as a preview.
  14. Also recommend the Tunnel, it's a remake of a Dutch crime thriller called the bridge, the change to French and british police makes for a good dynamic and provides some good humor.
  15. Moaning of life is totally different to idot abroad, no involvemmt from egomaniac Gervais. Karl isn't being forced to do things he doesn't want to so is actually interested in the subjects and activities. He comes into his own and he actually comes up with some interesting points. I saw a preview of this about a month ago and it was well received by everyone who saw it. If you've got sky on demand there's a preview available now.
  16. I know of an RB5 bonnet going for £30. It's in surrey though :(
  17. Welcome along :) as Gambit said we all like pics.
  18. Shame it has to go, good luck with the sale, they are great cars.
  19. Ouch! That's a real shame, at least you'll get it fixed free. Look forward to the pics when you get it back.
  20. Welcome along, maybe women's trousers, they're much more comfortable in the crotch and inspire confidence. Just ask Moss from the I.T crowed :)
  21. Yay another Surrey Scoob, welcome along :)
