  1. Hi all I'm after a couple of errrm clips? They are on a blobeye and they help hold the engine cover (underside). When I did an oil change - bolts all there, but a couple of the clip things broke and one missing. I'm not sure what they are called so i can get some. Can anyone help?? Thanks
  2. Thanks. Kinda like that. Anything for the front end that you can think off?
  3. I would like to change the wheels, but the funds won't allow it just yet. I think I'll get the lower front grille. Refurb the wheels and paint work. I don't want an sti spoiler, main reason why I didn't buy an sti lol. I just wondered if anyone knows of anything different, but subtle.
  4. I'm looking to get my wheels and bodywork sorted next year. I was looking for some recommendations. I live in west Dorset. My body work isn't to bad, just a few small areas of scratches and a couple of small dents. The wheels I think need to be black with a modern twist. Are there any nationwide company's that come to you house to do it that have reasonable prices. Also any comments on my car and what I could do to modernise it would be great fully received.
  5. Just an update - pioneer stereo received and looks in great condition. Will put it in after Christmas. Great doing business with you.
  6. Agree. Get what you pay for. It's also worth traveling.
  7. I've got an 05 wrx, I'm still trying to find out if it's a ppp as it has prodrive exhaust and bits. I took it to be remapped. I was told it was at 250bhp and they got 285bhp out of it now. I haven't change the fuel pump and haven't noticed any starvation. Having said that, I wouldn't know if its been changed or not. I think 280 is very possible.
  8. I could be interested in the stereo. Is it the same fit for a 2005 wrx?
  9. Thanks for all the advice. I will leave it as it is for the mo. If exhaust, turbo etc needs replacing, maybe I'll do upgrades then. I'm haven't got thousands to spend. Very happy with what I have, was just getting prepared for any changes that have to be done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Sounds good to me. Mine is 285 on both bhp and torque. I'm. It looking for a 400hp car, 300 is more than enough for where I live. Most of the road around here are small A roads, mostly B roads and unclassified roads. The car is very quick for here. I can hardly use all the power now lol. But 300hp might be a way to go ;-). Anything else I could do to push it over 300? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Ok thanks that's good to know. I thought the limit for the gearbox was around 290. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. Hi all I have a 2005 wrx. It's got a prodrive exhaust, but as far as I know not the complete ppp (still trying to find that out) , but it was at 250bhp before I remapped it, so I guess it could be the ppp, but I have no certificate to prove it. I've changed the panel filter to a cosworth one and had it remapped and is now at 285hp. It's my daily runner, so I'm not looking to get anymore hp as I think I'm at the max for the car, but if the exhaust needed replacing what should I go for? If I was to go up to 3" would I need to remap again? Would this push the hp to high for the gearbox etc? Many thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. I've used a grippy pad. They will stick anywhere and hold the phone well. They just need a clean in water from time to time. Other than that, put phone in pocket and enjoy driving, after all next year get caught using one and that's 6 points and fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. Gear changes feel fine. This is my first high performance car, excluding (back in the day) 309 gti, Astra gte etc, but first turbo car. so just want to keep on top of things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. Cheers. And I guess they will advice me of which oil to use?
  16. Nice one thanks guys. My car is at 54000 miles. Will check the service history and see if it's be done. If I can't find any info, I'll just do it. Well if 30000 is the make then it's pretty close to having it done for the second time anyway. Thanks again. Very helpful place. Glad I joined. [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  17. Hi all, some of you might know, I've just done an engine oil change to my 2005 WRX and it got me thinking about the gearbox and diff oils. How often should these be changed? Are they difficult jobs to do? The cluch was changed in January (before I bought it), should they have changed the gearbox oil then? many thanks
  18. Thanks. So my little 285bhp could be 290 now? Happy days
  19. That's the black one I've got, in the picture. But the blue one that was on the car is narrower in diameter. The seals are the same size and the black one screws on perfectly. ???
  20. Don't think it's a Subaru part. I ordered it from my local car parts supplier, they have never let me down yet. I've still got the box, I'll have a look later and see what make it is.
  21. Thanks I was getting a bit worried. I put it on as my gut told me it was right. And no leaks. Happy days
  22. Hi all i have a 2005 wrx. I've done an oil change, but the filer on the car is a blue one, while the one I bought is black and the black one is larger in size. I took the old blue one off to see any other differences, but none the oil seals are the same size and the new one screws in the same. Have I got the wrong filter? many thanks
  23. Hi scotty, where in Devon are you?
  24. Hi just thought I'd get this thread going again. Was there much interest in any member meeting in the southwest? im in west Dorset, but if Dartmoor etc is too far, I would be happy to go the other directions.
