  1. Hi and welcome. We have the same car lol. Well mines not quite standard any more. I bought the car thinking it only had a pro drive exhaust added. So far I've found out my car is not a factory ppp, but could have been added at a later date. Anyway the only differences I can see from a standard is the exhaust, maybe fuel pump, and the intercooler hoses. I've since added a cosworth panel air filter and then had it remapped and I'm currently sitting at 285bhp. So it wouldn't take too much to reach the figures you want. I trying to decided if I want to brake the 300 mark, to do this would need a bigger turbo, pink injectors, fuel pump and tbh the cost is out weighing the gain. Just bear in mind the 5 speed gear box won't be able to go much above 320-330 without causing too much strain. And also the standard turbo (td04) on a WRX will only reach 280-290. So I think I'm at my limits as is. If any part blow, I might upgrade then.
  2. My first scooby, 2.0L sport wagon n/a, I had for 5 years. Would still have it now if it wasn't for the dreaded tin rot. But I guess if that didn't go, maybe I wouldn't have a turbo now. Silver lining and all that. And much the same here david1972, my wife keeps asking to 'borrow' the car. Think she wants to keep it lol.
  3. Not that I know of. But I didn't fit mine. It was on the car when I bought it. Shouldn't think you would get a problem, unless you have a damaged sensor. But I could be wrong
  4. Don't worries, I'm 45 and only got mine last year. But I didn't want one with a big tail fin. So I've got a silver spec d WRX. It kinda blends in. And the pro drive exhaust is a nice gentle sound. Not 'boy racer' loud lol. And tbh any kinda sports car at our ages we get ridiculed for having. I love em and intend on keeping it for a long time.
  5. Sorry I have no answers for you. Just wanted to say, I love those wheels. Let me know if you want to find them a new home [emoji6]
  6. I wouldn't know from a technical point how they differ, but I agree with sandals. I'm a firm believer that 'you get what you pay for' and 'buy cheap, buy twice!'
  7. Best way I found to work out mpg, go to your usual petrol station. Fill up until it clicks out (don't top up). Zero mileage counter. Wait as long as poss to fill up again, but use the exact same pump and fill up until it click out again. You should get a litres figure then. Then all you have to do is check what mileage you done and make the mpg calculation. Done this with most of my cars, only too scared to do it with the scooby lol.
  8. Congrats. Just need one of these now lol
  9. Must admit I didn't read it all.
  10. Too new for me. I have a 2005 WRX. Doh!
  11. Hi I'm no expert by any means, but is it a 22b?? I thought these were a special edition?? Surely leaving it original would demand better money? But that could be me. I also though the special edition (especially the 2 doors) commanded more money than they are asking. I would be doing more research on it for sure.
  12. Hi I have 2005 WRX with same clutch and haven't experienced any judder at low speeds.
  13. Agree with all that. Love the sound, the speed, and reliability, but for me there is something else that I can't explain. And my scooby is the only car that I actually want to do as much of the mechanical work myself, that I can't explain why. Usually it's 'let the garage do it' now it's 'I'll do it' lol
  14. The turbo is still available if you want. Hi, still interested, but need to wait until nearer the end of month. Do you have any other information about the turbo, make, what car it came of etc? Thanks
  15. Hi all So, I love my scooby, but I can't put my finger on why. I had a 1999 Impreza 2.0L sport a few years ago and loved it. I never treated it well. Very few services etc, but it never let me down. Always got me home. It eventually ended up with the dreaded tin rot. So after a couple of year with some crappy cars I finally had the money to get a turbo Impreza. I now have a 2005 WRX. And love it. It may not be the fastest car on the road, but it's pretty quick, but I can't seem to pin down why I love it so much, so though I'd see if any of your reasons why ring true for mine. Thanks
  16. Sold (subject to payment)
  17. Can't find ad where I got it. I'll keep looking. He was selling loads of bits from breaking scoobys.
  18. I'm west Dorset border, where are you? I must say I've had a pm from someone else (before you), so I feel I should give him a short time to reply to me?
  19. It is an sph da120. I can only give the same reassurance I was given. I haven't tested it. But yes full working order. I also have an extension cable for the USB and hdmi with dashboard fitting. I'll through that in too.
  20. Hi all I bought this stereo from a member on here back in December, and I can't see me getting round to fitting it and tbh a bit broke ATM and could do with the cash, so it's up for grabs. Thought I'd offer it here first. Will chuck it on flea bay at the weekend. Only want what I paid £150. Has brackets to fit new age and has the adapter loom. It still in the box that I got it in. I only checked it was all there. Thanks
  21. 2005 WRX, prodrive exhaust, and maybe full ppp, but not from factory. I can see prodrive intercooler hoses, unsure about fuel pump so could be standard. Cosworth panel filter The rest standard as far as I know. Remapped by engine tuner, Plymouth 285.4 BHP
  22. I'm also on Pirelli p-zero's too. Can't seem to fault them at the moment.
  23. You could try importcarparts.co.uk
  24. Just had another look at that one and my gut says stay away. A full d cat might not pass the next mot. If it's been remapped, what it mapped up to? The 5 speed gearbox has limits!! In my eyes, if someone has spent money on an add you want to put as much info as poss about the upgrades. I would certainly ask more questions about it. Just my pennies worth. I wouldn't rule an older one out. Sti would be in your price bracket then. Just do a lot of searching.
