  1. Looks good [emoji1]. That's the look I want (not the spoiler). Just gotta get the fog light covers. Damn expensive new. But I'll Keep looking.
  2. Thanks. I think they are going to be black soon [emoji1].
  3. Sounds good, we go down to to moors when we can. Hate to say it, but we have a caravan down between exmoor, dartmoor and Cornwall. Be a nice day out, but too much wildlife on the moor roads for a good blast lol
  4. Is this the place for image alterations [emoji6]. Would love to see mine with a couple of different coloured wheels [emoji6] black or have them a better silver [emoji6]
  5. Well if you wanna meet up for a burn on day, give me a shout
  6. I'm about an hour away. I keep seeing them about and I've tried to find a few meets, but no luck so far. That's the trouble with the southwest , too laid back lol 'can't be bothered' attitude lol
  7. I'm not far from the Devon border. Where in Devon are you? But I haven't got a hatch, ive got a blobeye.
  8. During a car crash, 40% of drivers never hit the brakes
  9. I'll try, but it sure when I'll see the guy again. It's a guy at a place I delivery to. Got often, but haven't been for a while. There is a way to find out through the dvla website, but I think you have to agree to certain things, I think. But I guess you would need to be the owner or someone trying to fine them etc
  10. I think there's a site on Facebook that helps find your old car. I'm not on Facebook myself, but I've heard a few blokes mention it.
  11. Gave mine a fully set of disc and pads all round. [emoji1]
  12. Only had it on cars and van that I've had when I was driving car transporters. Had a few go, some my fault some unexplained. I even found a few dead birds when I've gone to deliver the cars with broken screens, both front and rear screens.
  13. This thread is making me laugh at all your modern cars as your firsts. My first car was a red 1979 cortina 1.6L. But we all had to start somewhere.
  14. As for a place to go for a remap, we it depends how far you want to travel. I think scooby clinic (I've seen people recommend them) is up at chesterfield. But I'm not from your area. I'm in the southwest. I traveled to Plymouth (about 2 hours drive) for my remap and glad I went there. Have the car a good run too
  15. Also use 99ron petrol. Either Tesco momentum or better still shell vpower. Keep a good maintenance schedule. I change my oil every 3000-5000 miles. Very easy to do yourself.
  16. Hi and welcome. We have the same car lol. Well mines not quite standard any more. I bought the car thinking it only had a pro drive exhaust added. So far I've found out my car is not a factory ppp, but could have been added at a later date. Anyway the only differences I can see from a standard is the exhaust, maybe fuel pump, and the intercooler hoses. I've since added a cosworth panel air filter and then had it remapped and I'm currently sitting at 285bhp. So it wouldn't take too much to reach the figures you want. I trying to decided if I want to brake the 300 mark, to do this would need a bigger turbo, pink injectors, fuel pump and tbh the cost is out weighing the gain. Just bear in mind the 5 speed gear box won't be able to go much above 320-330 without causing too much strain. And also the standard turbo (td04) on a WRX will only reach 280-290. So I think I'm at my limits as is. If any part blow, I might upgrade then.
  17. My first scooby, 2.0L sport wagon n/a, I had for 5 years. Would still have it now if it wasn't for the dreaded tin rot. But I guess if that didn't go, maybe I wouldn't have a turbo now. Silver lining and all that. And much the same here david1972, my wife keeps asking to 'borrow' the car. Think she wants to keep it lol.
  18. Not that I know of. But I didn't fit mine. It was on the car when I bought it. Shouldn't think you would get a problem, unless you have a damaged sensor. But I could be wrong
  19. Don't worries, I'm 45 and only got mine last year. But I didn't want one with a big tail fin. So I've got a silver spec d WRX. It kinda blends in. And the pro drive exhaust is a nice gentle sound. Not 'boy racer' loud lol. And tbh any kinda sports car at our ages we get ridiculed for having. I love em and intend on keeping it for a long time.
  20. Sorry I have no answers for you. Just wanted to say, I love those wheels. Let me know if you want to find them a new home [emoji6]
  21. I wouldn't know from a technical point how they differ, but I agree with sandals. I'm a firm believer that 'you get what you pay for' and 'buy cheap, buy twice!'
  22. Best way I found to work out mpg, go to your usual petrol station. Fill up until it clicks out (don't top up). Zero mileage counter. Wait as long as poss to fill up again, but use the exact same pump and fill up until it click out again. You should get a litres figure then. Then all you have to do is check what mileage you done and make the mpg calculation. Done this with most of my cars, only too scared to do it with the scooby lol.
  23. Congrats. Just need one of these now lol
  24. Must admit I didn't read it all.
  25. Too new for me. I have a 2005 WRX. Doh!
