I am after a VF28 turbo in good condition and would appreciate any help finding one.

If the 2006 sti is like the classic impreza the pipes rust as they go through the grommet under the back seat and the leaking petrol runs down them to the joints in your picture.

Check under the back seat as the pipes can corrode as they go through the grommet.

Ouch! and out of interest where is this the offending bump?.

Leaking injectors was also a problem.

With a smart alternator try running the car with the side lights on.
