Haven’t updated this thread in a long while (or been on the forum for that matter) and a lot has changed, so here goes.... I’ve changed the prodrive backbox for a ninja one, fitted a new front splitter, the coilovers came off and where replaced by the much nicer standard suspension and a few weeks ago the car went in for a full detail. i also resprayed my grilles to make them mint, there was a few stone chips on them. also fitted 5mm hubcentric wheel spacers which made a subtle difference. I took off the square rear plate and replaced it with an original size one, left the square on the front though. The 2 front tyres were running low, so swapped them out for a set of Michelin pilot sport 4’s. I have 2 new Bridgestone potenzas on the back and 2 new Michelin’s on the front. It sticks to the road nicely 😁 Heres some upto date pics of how the car looks now

@mattiekane I had the same discs on my celica for 18 months with no problems. Working brakes save lives.

Richard Henry motorsport is in Bradford not too far away. I’m sure they can sort out mapping.

Put £50 worth of vpower in it and drove around for a bit and got some food shopping. It was all a very exciting 👀

@mattiekane Mine is sort of halfway between loud and quiet now, so it's no good for either. Too quiet too save lives and too loud too stalk.

@mattiekane it is a fair bit louder than before. Just not asbo loud like say, a nur spec for example 😂😂😂😂

On second thoughts, I've been out for a proper drive this aft and it is a fair bit louder once you put your foot down. Not really massively noticible on tickover or cruising though but has a nice burble to it so may keep it as is for a bit.

Cheers @Tidgy im thinking of buying a decat downpipe and decat pipe, then getting mapped at same time. More noise and more power in one go and nice and safe. So the age old question, were to go for a map?

Fitted my milltek deresonated centre section tonight. It's a tiny bit louder but still a lot quieter than I'd hoped. It has a bit more of a burble but is still very quiet. Currently has standard down pipe, standard cat pipe, milltek de-res centre and prodrive back box. new back box needed I think, or possibly decat pipe. Would fitting a decat mean that I'd need to get the car remapped asap or can you run a decat without a map?

Had the car mot'd and it passed. Handbrake was tightened at the same time and feels much better now and also had a number plate light out that I hadn't noticed which is now sorted. Got it home from the mot and spent 3 hours giving it a good clean inside and out. Looks like new 🤗 Straight through stainless milltek centre section going on tomorrow 😎

@stants yeah I seen the s208 a few days ago. Stunning car. I heard Subaru are getting rid of the wrx and sti brands in the uk as of next year but not sure how true that is. Could be heading back to grey import impreza sti's like in the 90's I think.

Stumbled across this this morning, don't know much about it, or weather it will go into production or come to the uk. Anyone know any thing? its certainly a looker in my opinion.
