  1. Cheers @mattiekane ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  2. @savage bulldogs nice bay ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  3. I have a cosworth filter on my sti and it seems a good quality item. It was only about 35 quid as well if I remember correctly.
  4. @mattiekane I see where your coming from, but; I thought the 2006 sti had a cat in the down pipe, then a small section between the centre and downpipe with another cat, then the resonated centre section then back box. All the centres ive seen are for 2001-2007, so replace the 2nd cat and deresonated centre. On 2001-2005 cars the 2nd cat and centre is one pipe. My question is, is it safe to replace the 2nd cat and resonated section with a straight through section without having it mapped, as long as I leave the one in the downpipe?
  5. @mattiekane cheers mate! so as long as I leave the ones in the up and down pipes, it will be safe and legal to bin the centre one? ๐Ÿ˜
  6. I've been looking at getting a straight through centre section for my 2006 hawk sti, to mate to my prodrive backbox. The main reason is so I can delete the big silencer and hopefully have a little bit more noise while keeping the subtle look of the prodrive unit. I believe there is a catalytic converter in the down pipe and another between the down pipe and centre section. All the straight through centres ive seen are listed as 2001-2007, so replace the 2nd cat as well as the centre silencer. My question is, if I replace this cat and silencer with a straight pipe, will the car need mapping straight away? Ive read some conflicting opinions on this, people saying that as long as the up pipe and downpipe still have the cats in then it will be fine; while others say that it will need mapping straight away. What's people's thoughts?
  7. @mattiekane torque pro ๐Ÿ‘
  8. There's one in the downpipe and one between the downpipe and centre section on the hawks I think. Any way of telling which one needs replacing?
  9. I keep getting an eml thrown up. The code I'm getting is P0420 "catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank 1)" any one else had this or know exactly what it means? ๐Ÿค”
  10. Hoovered it out then was about to give it a wash and the heavens opened ๐Ÿ˜
  11. @cornish6544Car looks stunning mate ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  12. @Scoobyghost @stants @aucky Thanks for the replies. Seems they have a good rep then. I was talking to them this morning (unsure of the name of the guy). He was really helpful and give me a very good price on the work I'm looking at having done. I'm dropping it off next Saturday so they can give the car a once over, and I'm looking into getting the car forged and a new clutch fitted at some point soon.
  13. @[email protected] Welcome mate, and you also win the award for dodgyiest looking user name.
  14. You sausage ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
  15. Has any one used them or have any experience with them? I think it changed hands a few years ago from what I can gather? Thanks in advance ๐Ÿค
  16. @mattiekane you sound thrilled about that ๐Ÿ˜
  17. Anyone going to croft tomorrow? I'll be there so hoping to see a few subies about. @mattiekane?
  18. @mattiekane like a snoring dragon ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
  19. Gave mine a good clean ready for petrol and pistons at croft tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  20. @mel57car looks good. Makes it stand out a bit more ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  21. I won't be changing wheels. I want to keep the car looking fairly origional. I might lower it a touch more and put some decent spacers on to bring the wheels out a touch. I really like the way it looks on these wheels ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  22. @mattiekane ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ To be honest, I did die a little inside every time I saw the standard arch gap. It looked like someone had taken it too a Land Rover specialist and had a 3" lift kit fitted ๐Ÿ‘€
  23. @mattiekane too improve the handling, which is the whole point of coilovers you sausage ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ (although the removal of said arch gap is a welcome bonus ๐Ÿ˜)
  24. Lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ Function over form all day long. Although I think it looks pretty sweet on the 17's.
