  1. Miggs make a very good point. I have read some many threads of people re using belts to same money.some do get away with it I guess, but it's the main thing that keeps it all together and isn't worth the risk EVER
  2. Need to get a timing belt kit ASAP.i found a recipt with my car history but there was no mention of a full kit and the price did not reflect this, so I'm replacing the lot while I'm in there. I don't want a cheap kit, it's not that I'm made of money ( the wife is) its that I'd rather put the best I can on there I can. Found gates and cosworth so far, I heard though that some gates belt aren't all that i'e their racing belts. What's everyone using ?
  3. Yeah, stuck in that damn VOD again ;~)
  4. Ok so I've just read this whole thread and I'm upto speed, so any further comments won't sound so dumb. But that is the way I role......
  5. That's cool about the painting, what you using?
  6. That's cool mate, funnily nor am I, I'd rather have a protien shake. Two pints and I'm well on my way! Speak to you tomorrow mate
  7. If it comes out looking like what's in the picture with the decals it'll look awsome. I like that mean scooby look. Are you prepping the body to keep the cost down ?
  8. Miggs,if you wouldn't mind putting the other wheels in as we'll, I'd really appreciate it.and we're sort out p&p through pm ing each other ( that's not a youthanism gambit ! ) once again miggs a massive MASSIVE thank you.if I'm ever your way or you mine, there be a beer with your name on it. Hopefully we're meet up a club meet at some point !
  9. It's cool,my original ones fine but obviously it's be torqued so I can't re use it.im pretty sure torque setting for this bolt is 110 (also read 125) but will double check with the dude I'm meeting tomorrow who's in the knowing. Just out of curiosity, what are you doing with other pulley wheels as I noticed after removing the aux cover mine look like they've seen better days.
  10. I honestly can't thank you enough.im not worried about cost, what Evers quickest.i'll inbox you my address and were sort out bank details and I'll do an instant transfer to you.ive found a subaru garage near me and managed to get a new crank bolt with a new woodruff key as well.
  11. It's the one on the crank miggs
  12. So who knows the best place to get hold of parts? Need a pulley wheel including new bolt woodruff and belts. I was two miles away but it took three hours to get home
  13. Yeah I think your right,I think I'll get a new key ordered along with new belts and have a ponder on the pulley
  14. Not that clear as its from my iPhone
  15. No no i must of explained myself wrong, the woodruff on the crank is ok, and the pulley wheel has worn away its woodruff slot . I meant the end of the key is worn which I can replace. I'll post a picture.
  16. My original one fel off last night, thats why I'm looking into the differences. Just been out and looked at the car in day light and the woodruff key is mis shapen now but the slot is fine.i know some people put a lw pulley on so they don't have to change the woodruff but I'm not a bodger
  17. Hello, I've posted in the legacy section but it's a bit lonely in there, miggs did find me so thanks for that. What I want to know is, do Subaru's have any vibration issues from fitting a light weight pulley wheel
  18. Crank Pulley came undone last night, Got relayed home and I'll check the end of the crank shaft tonight for woodruff key damage, there was some on the inside of the pulley wheel so I'm hoping that took the force.out of interest what's the pros and cons of lightweight pulleys?
  19. Ok so maybe I did that once ;)
