June 25, 201510 yr Author Been doing missions, didn't notice the command centre until last night. Reached a new height of 200km.... burnt up re-entry. haven't hit that height again but solved the re-entry problem by attaching two boosters pointing forward that activate to slow me down. This game is just sapping my time! Two solid nights of playing now :O

June 30, 201510 yr A lot of the Mario games were excellent, Mario football, tennis, kart and golf were all great fun... my gamecube was the main reason for me not completing my degree XD

June 30, 201510 yr I finally managed to have a stable orbit(107k apoasis/92k periapsis) and even got the craft back down to kerbin safely! Damn reentry heat is a bugger now.
July 1, 201510 yr Author I think most peoples Wii's just sit there and collect dust, don't know anyone who plays it anymore! Good work Ghost, I've not attempted to do a full orbit but been trying to send a probe out into space to test a part. I can't manage an Escape trajectory... looks like you do need to manage orbit before doing that. Use a gravity turn to get out :(. Was avoiding attempting Orbit until I've unlocked loads of stuff but I guess now is the time.
July 1, 201510 yr I started again after you rekindled my love of ksp. I can't use the probe yet as I have no way of controlling it. I've been trying to get science but it's getting really tough now. With orbit I take off and instantly hot D to get some angle over at 90° to help with the turn. Once the solid boosters are out I drop those and usually have enough velocity to get above 70k. I coast to apoasis and then smack the next engine on full keeping the apoasis just in front on the kerbin view map. It's really tough with such limited resources at the begining of the game. Even more so with the better physics. I have found my best way of 're entry is put a heat shield on the bottom of capsule or last section and come in @ss first. Second issue was the chute so now I carry the empty storage section and put the flat chute in there to protect it. Along with batteries and thermometers. All helps the science [emoji4]
July 1, 201510 yr Author You make it sound so easy :). I've unlocked thermometers, not used any yet! Was going to say use a heat shield on your **** to protect yourself, as for the chute what I do is wait until my speed drops below 250 then deploy. Unless you mean it's getting destroyed by the heat (not when deployed).
July 1, 201510 yr Yeah when I use the cone chute on that crapsule it always gets heat destroyed. I use the better capsule now. I done quite a lot last night and only manage orbit once. I had just enough fuel to break orbit and get back lol it was all Apollo 13 for a minute though. Silence at mission control.
July 1, 201510 yr I use my wii more to play Gamecube games than wii games :D Also, new big Terraria update came out yesterday... looks like a lot has been added!!
