Gambit
I can't see why they wouldn't fit mate I have 225/40/18 on mine
Scoobyghost
Are you swapping wheels or trying to put the wider tyres on your rims?
Gregolasos
They would fit but would be a bit of a stretch not sure how legal stretching tyres is?
Darren220283
No just tries both rims her and mine are 17 but her tires are a little wider
Scoobyghost
It depends on the width of your rim. Too small and the tyre will be stretched. I'm sure if you were to take it to a tyre fitter they will be able to advise if they will fit before starting the work.
Jay762
Should be a straight swop however dependant on your wheel width you may feel a little bit of lateral movement when cornering with the tyre wall not being upright if the tyre is wider than the wheel. I felt it going from 205's to 235's a few years back
Darren220283
Hi thanks ye I'm just starting to get to grip with these tires number I think 235 that's a nice wide tire what did it do to the handling. Iv been told it slows down excelration but is better for top speed don't know if there any truth in that tho
Darren220283
Thanks for all the advice guy's I change tires today form 205/45 zr17 to 225/45 zr17 and ye you can tell the difference not had a big run out but the ride home about 25 mins from the tire place and the last 5 mins down back lans and so far so good so thanks again
Scoobyghost
Your sidewall will be larger. Speedo may be slightly out now. 205/45 is 9.2cm sidewall, 245/45 is 11cm sidewall(leaving out the odd mm).
Darren220283
That should be fine il can live with that plus I all way's slow down speed traps anyway as I don't belive a word they say when it comes to targeting motorist
