Obviously 2 parts can just be replaced the u subframe and the frame underneath the rad

Breakers would be your best bet, the u Shaped frame is notorious for going it then traps the moisture between it and the subframe, another member has had exactly the same problem.

There are a few specialists who do the repair work. But the 1 I know is on south coast.

I had the same in my blob with the bit under the rad and the c frame went to a scrapyard, cut one off another blob and welded it in, painted and waxoyled and all was well, just unbolted and bolted another c frame on, and replaced the whole front crossmember also with one off eBay, complete with steering rack, hardest but was the welding the bit under rad in

Just done my cross member (rack mount and engine mount) not a bad job to be honest, wound happily take on another :-)

Haha I didn't do the rad mount cross member thank god, had the c frame etc out, but with a decent welder I'd do it all quite happily :-D
