Gambit
I think it looks alright mate just needs a clean up. If I was going to find anything to pick on would be the colour. But that's olny because I had a Ford Escort that looks the same colour and it was the only reason I didn't like that car :) And like this one and Rollermites I'm interested to see the final job :)
mariocinq
i think the colour is what sets mine out from the crowd. cant wait to see how Dav's turns out, i loved it with tinted lights and black grill, it had a very dodge charger air to it lol
Gambit
I have only judge the colour from the dark gray sky and the dirty car from the picture. Once it's been washed and in the sun light I might see the real colour :D And I agree did have that dodge look to it :)
Davsurfa
So I woke up this morning noticed that the skies were blue, the sun is shining and I didn't like the satin finish so I decided matte was the way to go. The bonnet came off, and the boot too. Then I wrapped the car up and painted the roof Then I sprayed the bonnet in matte & took the spoiler off the boot and sprayed that too While waiting for paint to dry(the was already dry being out in the sun) I decided to fit a new headunit Looks tidy and sounds superb I also swapped the passenger door speaker cuz that'd blown. After that I threw the bonnet and boot lid back on I reckon it turned out good Just gotta get some vinyls cut for it for a finishing touch. Davsurfa
To be honest I'm usually a Sony man but I got this one from Halfords and as it is last years model it was only £60 and I can't fault it. Sounds superb. I have FLI 6x9s in the back and standard scoob speakers in the front doors and still it sounds good, definitely worth a buy
Gambit
Spot on looks the mutts nuts. I did have a Kenwood in mine before the Pc :) I do like the Sony stuff to, but Kenwood do make far better car stereo's IMO
Scooby Pete
Car looks so much better :) 2 points you raised in the thread. The classics pre2000 do not have an OBD connector. There are no plugs for diagnostic machines or any OBD equipment. They have a black and green plug under the dash to diagnose CEL's and thats all :( I posted more details on another thread. The bonnet on the Imports were made as you guessed from aluminium so are much lighter and more sort after. UK cars had steel bonnets.
Davsurfa
Cheers bud, I didn't think it had obdII. I'm off to MK cruise tonight so I'll hunt another classic out and see what the difference is against a steel bonnet :)
