I crashed/rolled my wife's BRZ (2014 plate LUX edition)
Car had just been detailed for 3 days prior so gutted as was a perfect example with not a mark in and out.

The insurance didn't pay out as I was only 3rd party so a sore one financially.

What are my chances of shifting the car as a complete unit (It still drives as the engine and running gear were unaffected)
The main issue is the roof as that was damaged (Hence it being written off)

What are my options?  Strip it/repair it/sell it?

Opinions are appreciated.

ouch, not good news.

If you have room to break it prob get more breaking it, but will take a while to do it and for the parts to sell

Anything tbh, there pretty rare so anyone looking for spares will be interested. Usual is engine and gearbox though

what is the rear drive train / diff - that may have some appeal?

You will deffo be able to sell this whole! When i smashed up my ignis sport it was only worth about £1500 ( if that ) with the modifications and i flogged it on to hill climb driver for £700 after a head on smash at 70mph!

Get it on gumtree, eBay ect ect and google to see if theres any brz racing teams that may be interested :)

I'd try shift it as a whole unit but think like most things Subaru it's the parts that hold the huge value. Gutted to hear it's been written off though not seen many BRZ

Im thinking:
Engine/Gear box 3K
Seats and Trim £500
Rear Diff £200
Others 1.5K

Think engine / gearbox are closer to about 1200 quid for these, i know someone turboing one and he got a spare lump dirt cheap

seats look nice so a nice 500 quid upgrade,

Problem breaking is your left with the stuff that dont sell, then paying someone to take the shell away

good luck with the sale tho

Unless she’s exceedingly understanding, I expect that you’re looking for a new wife as well 😀
