Only other decent mappers I can think of that would come to a dyno of your choice (mobile mappers) are Andy forest and Bob rawl. Both of them are normally difficult to get hold of due to being so busy .

I've never delt with Alan Jeffrey (engine tuner) but he has a good rep and was helpful via email with some questions I had a while back

If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊

I have mailed engine tuner, I am thinking of mailing slowboy racing, I want someone with a premises of their own so I have some element of accountability, am looking at subaru4you as well, engine tuner looks favourite at the mo tho mate

for my BMW  I used Avon Tuning in Bristol, it was an 8 hour round trip but well worth it. Gareth is the man there and he is amazing!

I am not sure what they are like with subarus, but if you ring them, I am sure they will be honest with you about there experiences with them!

They have there own premesis with RR and have been around for years, on the BMW forums its either them or ecotune in scotland nothing else will do.

Looks like engine tuner then tidgy, scoobyclinic looks like a boring old drive, andy forest way too far, subaru4you nobody really seems to talk about them, slowboy racing sounds like has own premises but can be hard to get hold of (fuckthat again!) and thanks donnylad but really want someone that's Subaru through and through, Bob rawle seems like hassle trying to get to see him

Just don't leave your car alone with scoobyclinic.

Based on one incident i'm guessing you do everything in your life yourself?

The one they got caught. They have a reputation for a reason. I think it's only fair we share the good and bad off all service providers. Whether it's racedynamix or your beloved clinic.

A 20 year reputation blotted by one incident, the difference is i've been around long enough to see cowboys come and go, plus crap mappers turn out dozens of !Removed! up cars yet people still think there good recommend them and they end up with a !Removed! up car, just like pigs found out.

I don't like people being ripped off and it winds me up.

Exactly the same as that hence the warning. Wouldn't trust clinic to look after a hamster let alone my pride and joy. They'd probably overcharge for that too.

The incident is just the one that got them caught. It's well documented how clinic threaten anyone with court that stands against them.

that's total garbage, the only time anything like that has been ever said is when people have gone around spreading lies and no matter what is said they don't stop. How would you react if someone was doing that?

They claimed that poor chap was lying. Threatened him and soon changed thier tune when the footage came out. Going on that I'd say it's not all been lies.

Because its all been said before, he refused to show the boss the video when asked. So if I went to your boss and said you'd done x/y/z and gave no evidence would you expect to be fired? The last time something like this happened a guy claimed to be on site for 45 mins waiting for them to 'shovel their face' as he put it, the security footage then showed he was on site for 2 mins 45 seconds.

Have a read. And after think about how you'd react.

There's always 3 sides to a story. Your side, my side and the truth. Just wanted to make piggy aware of any problems before he goes to clinic and ends up in a similar situation to how he has been treated by Duncan.

He isn't going to clinic i don't think.

Jeebus wept !! So where do I go for gods sake lol, in fairness tidgy did warn me about Duncan discretely by pm and I went against his advice because duncan was only up the road so was easy , I hugely regret going to him and I would honestly never ever recommend his service to anyone ever, I am close to selling my car because of this experience, I have also had very dark thoughts about finding him turning him upside down and shaking my money out of him if I'm honest, I will persue a claim with Barclaycard, the trouble will start if I don't have a successful claim, as in my eyes Duncan has in effect ripped me off for £430, anyway glad to se you guys take it down a notch or two 👍

Gonna have a look at the link now 😛

It all get s a bit partisan at times hahaha.

I think the issue is constructive criticism isn't around any more, if someone isn't happy first thing they do is go on social media and sprout off, over egg it and it doesn't mater what the truth is. If your unhappy with something pick up the phone and speak to them.

If, like you found out, they don't respond and sort out problems when your honest with who ever it is, your never gonna get anywhere and time to go public.

But you have to be honest with them and give them the full info.

Shocked at your treatment piggy. Going on my own first hand experience I wouldn't have thought Duncan would behave in that manor. He did my car and a few others I know of with no major problems. I had a small boost limit issue but two weeks and he fixed no problem. Been fine for the past 18 months.
